OK, this discussion I do believe is the only one that has been posted. Well this kept running through my mind about asking my fellow mylotters. Where do you store your broom and mop along with the dust pan? What made me come up with this discussion is because my boys are 3 and 1, so it seems like they are always playing with my broom and mop. I have in fact had to buy a broom 3 different times in 1 year. Gosh forbid about 5 dustpans because they get a hold of them thinking that they are toys. So my second broom I decided to keep even if it was broke. Then my sister came up with a bright idea and broke it off all the way where it was bending and then took the handle off the top part and put it on the broken part and it made a broom that is the perfect size for my boys but yet they keep playing with mine. So I tried hanging my broom and dust pan on a nail and that does not work. I know that most places has what they call a broom closet. If you do not have a broom closet, where do you store yours at? I am hoping that this will give me tips and ideas on where I could store my broom at. Happy Mylotting

I keep my broom and dust pan in the laundry room. I wish I had a broom closet to keep things in. I am thinking about adding on to the house whenever I get a full-time job or I can make enough money on here. The first thing I need to do is get my debt paid down and get caught up on my bills. I know keeping it on a nail does not work for me either because my cat Smyles keeps on playing with it.

Oh my gosh LOL that is so funny that your cat thinks it is a toy. I think either way a nail is not the best thing for a nail. If I had a laundry room I would put it there but I don't. That is the only thing I don't like about renting because sometimes there is not enough closet space or anything. Well enjoy your cat playing with it. Happy Mylotting

I keep mine in the front closet by our front door. I also keep the vacuum in there so it's all together. I don't like having them out somewhere that you can see them, I just think they look dirty so I like them out of sight lol

Hello, very well put, I never thought about putting them in a closet itself. I think I am going to do just that because we do have a closet at end of the hallway that leads to no where. I am even going to put my vacuum there too. I like that idea because then my boys be able to play with them and you are right they do look dirty and that would not be something people would like to see especially if they are allergic to dust. I will have to say that this is a very great idea of your's. Happy Mylotting
