Wow, I can't believe what the scale said.

Hello, everyone who is trying to lose weight. Well I have been on this journey of losing weight for the past year and half. Well at first when I tried it seemed that I was going up and down for about the first 6 months. But lately I have started watching how much I eat when I ate meals and snacks instead of cutting out foods. Then I decided to weigh myself last night expecting to gain weight because it did not feel like I lost any weight in the past week. Well the scale said other wise. Man I was so thrilled that it showed that I had lost 4.8 pounds. We have the scales that shows both pounds and ounces. Well I never thought of losing this much in one week without training and much working out. All I do is watch how much I eat each meal and when I have snacks and get up and down cleaning about 6 times a day and playing with the boys, which is a workout alone. They like being chased around the house and so that is fun while trying to lose weight. So I am hoping to lose about 5-6 pounds this coming up week. Do you have any other ideas on how I could lose a little bit more weight? I want to get to my ideal size by summer time. Happy Mylotting

Congratulations on losing weight though you didn't expect it. I always think doing housework is a good way of losing weight too, also watching your diet does help. I don't think I can lose 5 pounds in a week, that's too much for me. What I do is just watch my diet, try not to eat food that are high calories or high cholesterol. Actually I am trying to watch out my health, instead of losing weight. Also I will do some light exercise too.

Well thanks, it makes me feel really good seeing it on the scale when I did not expect it at all. Well I can say that I found house work a privilege when it comes to losing weight...LOL I hated cleaning and everything but now I enjoy it because of the reward I get from it. I know that sounds sick but I guess cleaning just became a fun thing for me now. What kind of light exercising do you do? Happy Mylotting

Don't quote me on this, but I think that safely the weight to be lost is around 2 lbs a week, other then that it can be dangerous, or atleast you might gain it right back. I'd suggest trying to go to the Y! a few times a week and swim, exercise, or something like that. If you have a wii invest in one of their workout programs, or rent it from your local game store, borrow it from a friend or family member even. Or, weather permittent, walk around town.

Hello, Yes I will agree with you on the amount to lose in a week. It would be nice to know how the biggest loser can have their people do it with out putting them in danger. But you are right though that is the same thing that I have been told too and that is even by a doctor. Well right now there is now way for me to get to a y, although I would love it. I know that whenever it is nice we walk about a good 1-2 miles during the day and then we walk about 6-7 miles during Saturday and Sunday. We take the stroller so that the boys don't have to walk, although they temp it and they are only 3 and 1. Well on Tuesday we will have a wii and the wii fit. So we will be using that a lot when we get it. Have you tried the Jillian Michaels workout? I am wondering if that is as awful as the customers on amazon says. Well I appreciate all the tips and advice you gave me. Happy Mylottign
