..hi.. When I was still a student, I have to get myself through college so I have to work for my school fees.. It was my own choice to work because I have my dream to fulfill.. and i'm so glad that I was able to make it.. However, for other people, working at the age of 18 is not mandatory because their parents can afford to support them.. As for me, that age should be the start of maturity when we are suppose to think of our future and not always depend on our parents.. Working is a need, it does not depend on moods if I may say..

When I was in college I had to work A LOT because my family couldn't effort to pay for my college. I think if you have the necessity you have to do it. But I think that if your parents can pay for your college, or if you have an scholarship and live at home, it is not a necessity for you to work, so the main priority should be focus in your studies because in the long run that is your future, and if you don't do well in college then you won't get a nice job when you finish.

When I was in college, I really wanted to get a job but my parents didnt want me to because they want me to focus on my studies. But if I were to turn back time, I would definitely get a job. I wanted to get that because it will give me the edge in the future if I were to apply in another job because I have already gained experience.

I'm 18 and in college. I started working when I was 16, during the holidays. I worked next summer too. I was in high school then. But when I got to college I couldn't work anymore because of the exams that I had in the summer. So now I don't work. Fortunately I made a lot of money when I worked two years ago, so I still have some spending money and my parents give me money every month too. I would love to work somewhere but can't because of my weird school schedule.

Technically you don't have to do anything that you don't want to, however working when you're 18 is all up to you. Working in the area of your major can definitely prepare you for your future job, and also, if you're not that busy and you have a lot of time, then, there's really no harm in getting a job, it's extra money and experience.
