Freedom is dear to everyone and no one likes to be controlled by others. That is why BE-YOUR-BOSS kind of talk everywhere.
Is everyone disciplined enough to be able work at home? What about people who are just fooling around and busy with I-WILL-DO-WHAT-I-LIKE type activities, in the name of BEING-MY-OWN-BOSS?
A good boss is always helpful; makes you work better; motivates you; and helps you grow in your profession. Do we really have the capacity to do all these things when we go on our own?
What do you think?

I've been there.
I've alwayz wanted to go on my own. And to do what I like.
Zuccezz? Yez, I believe I did have achieved zome of my goalz in my very own way of achieving it.
Zelfizhnezz, otherz dezcribe it that way. But at leazt I proved them that I can do it on my own.
But that waz before.
And now...
I realized that zuccezz, by your own...taztez bitter-zweet.
But zuccezz, zharing it with another perzon...taztez honey-zweet.
I waz blinded by zelfizh-gainz and zelfizh-dezirez.
But I have learned my lezzon. A helping-hand iz alwayz a muzt if you really want to grow in your chozen field of interezt. But be aware that zome ideaz from other people are hard to accept. But that'z the way it iz. Facing zuch phenomenon would make you a better and ztronger perzon. Not being-my-own-bozz, but being able to ztand up for what you believe in and alzo being able to admit that you, az a human being, iz bound to commit miztakez zometimez.
I would like to end with thiz quote:
"A great man iz alwayz willing to be little."

Despite your bad key strokes, I sense that your thoughts are really wonderful. When we help others, we are in some remote ways helping ourselves; when we are nasty to others, we are hurting ourselves. I think to realize this is a sign of maturity.
Have a nice Day!

I-WILL-DO-WHAT-I-LIKE attitude is fine if you know what you doing or it doesn't hurt anybody. Well if the boss around you wouldn't want to mess around and do what you like. You wouldn't want to be laid off right...Being my own boss would really awesome, we don't have to impress anyone to get paid. lol

Yeah, I think you are right. When you are already your own boss it already shows that you can manage your own self and earn money for your own living without depending on others. Being the ain't easy, you have to organize properly and making the decisions also taking risks. It takes many experience and developed skill to do so.

I am a peprson who likes to do what I want to do. I don't like it when somebody force me to do things or interfere in my personal affairs. I don't like it when somebody force me to do things. I will consider their suggetion and accept it if I find it reasobale and if I feel that it helps me to present myself in a better way. On the other hand, I don't enter into others personal space.

Actually, I kind person always want to make everyone around me happy, consider too much about the other people's feeling! Maybe I should "I will do what I like" a lit more.
I think people should consider others feeling sometimes.
Do you kind of "I will do what I like" person?

It is a wonderful quality to be considerate towards other people. However, when one is in his own space, one can do what one likes. It is imposing oneself on others with the I-WILL-DO-WHAT-I-LIKE attitude that is bad. So, I think a balance is essential.
Thanks for your thoughts.

i believe that a good leader is also a good follower. that is something that i try to live up with, while support my 'i-will-do-what-i-like-attitude'. i'm a good follower, and i respect my superiors. but when i start to feel that they're unreasonably going overboard and start to make me do things that is crossing my principles, or when they're making me feel depreciated and giving me less of the respect i deserve in a employer-employee relationship, that's when i usually step aback and re-examine the situation.
happy mylotting! :)

No because these kind of attitude is considered as selfishness. These persons can't find good friends because they only thinking is about their self. Sometimes, we need also the advice of other persons. Thanks

I think we all would have behaved like that in our teens. That is the age where we want to realize our self and where we can't accept and adjust all the elders say.We want explanations and are not given immediately with full attention.Elders see us boys and girls and we want to get realized as men and women.Apart from that,a boss has to be more responsible and his actions should not hurt others.Anybody behaving like that need not claim to do what he likes.

That is actually the difference between the two. Since I am in an office environment, I really have follow orders from my superiors unlike if you are your own boss.

well...i fear that i may be a do what you like kind of a person. while it may be argued that people should do what they want in life, life is not necessary ideal..isn't it? sometimes, we are required to do things which we may not necessarily like or endorse for the benefit of people around us.

I am that type of person. :-) I really don't like it when someone tells me to do this or that. Small errands I do for courtesy, but when it comes to career, I really stick to my decisions.
I believe we can be our own boss, because that way, our own passion drives us to keep going, even when we don't have a boss to follow. To autonomous people, there is no worse thing than being ruled by something or somebody.

It is good to work when you like it but there are times that you must do a specific work just for a cause even if you doesn't like it. Doing work that you dislike is an ability that all individual doesn't always have. It requires patience, adjustments and determination.
It you have it then you are flexible. Flexible people can do different type of jobs and that is very much required and admired in a working environment.

I believe in being my own boss and doing things my way, to me thats the most natural process of learning.
Experiences are finger prints and each one has them different. Why should I regret about something I didnt do becos someone told me not to do it. Plus why shoulddeprive people of the pleasure they get when they say "I TOLD YOU SO" ;)
I prefer to get my own experience rather than someone forcing their experiences upon m. I am my boss.

I don't mean this offensively, but when people are young they tend to want to be their own boss, and can't really deal being controlled. They go through a so-called "rebel" stage. However, some but to live in this world, you have to learn to deal with the people above you and accept their authority over you. Image if everyone had that attitude and acted upon it. Everyone would be their own boss and there would be no order in this world.

I am absolutely with you on your ideas. You just become a loner sitting before the computer monitor like crazy. Social skills are almost lost for the I-Go-ALONE type of personalities. This is real a danger with being-my-own-boss kind of talks.
Thanks for your realistic comments. Have a Good Day!
