How do you feel about space exploration?

I for one am all for spending money on it. A lot of money. I mean, we've pretty much exhausted Earth, all the blank edges of the map have been filled in. What's left now is space. I honestly don't understand people who think the whole thing is a waste of time. There's literally an infinite amount of things we could find out there.
So what are your views on space exploration? Waste of money? NASA needs to have more funding? Where are the space aliens? (:p) and if you're "pro space" what do you think we'll find out there given the chance?

I think that we have to put things right on this planet before we go off exploiting somewhere else. Until we fix the mess we have made on Earth, it is pointless to go looking for anywhere else. All that would happen is that we would do damage, because we don't understand enough.
