I think that Christmas decorations should not be out tell Thanksgiving is over. Their is a house down the road from me that is already decorated for Christmas. I feel the true meaning of Christmas is overlooked by all that the stores do.

I am personal glad that the stoeies start puting things out early. We are starting from nothen. So it has made things a lot easier on us. We can get a little here and there. We don't have to worry about comeing up with all the money at onces. We also live paycheack to paycheack so it does help us out to get a little bit when we can.

I think it's ridiculous how stores and even people seem to skip Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas after Halloween. They are missing the whole point of Christmas and Thanksgiving. They should wait until December before puting up Christmas decorations.

That irritates me too. It makes it perfectly clear that retailers feel Christmas is all about money. It seems like every year people rush the Christmas buying season so that people will buy more and more. Usually these are things they don't even need.

My gf works in retail, she says half the customers complain about the early christmas displays, and some people are already looking for particular items they can't find, all in all, she says "you can't make everyone happy."I don't care personally, coz i hae the seasons in my heart ,not on any shelves or front lawns :) I do enjoy the lights though.

It's pretty screwed up. Earlier and earlier every year! All the retailers care about is the money. I'm not buying anywhere that started decorating for Christmas before Halloween. There are very few stores, but enough that my kids will have a fine x-mas and not even know mommy was boycotting. We're supposed to be teaching the true meaning not the gimme gimmies.

I think that the Christmas season starts once Thanksgiving is over. I do buy Christmas presents early when I can get a good deal. Many times I will buy something while on vacation to give to someone at Christmas and help them remember the Vacation long after it is over.
