father at age of 60's got maried and never wanted his daughters relationship

one of the person known is of age 60 and his wife died 2 yrs back as she was unconscious for 2 years due to an accident .the couples had a son and daughter who got married and has a daughter .the couples were so so found of their grand daughter they loved her very much.but things changed when this man wife died .he married another women of age 21 and now he has son of age 1 .but this may be common thing to happen .but now he now never wants his daugher to come to his house or further have any father daughter realation ship .in place like India we have a bonded family relation ship and was not able to digest this when i heard this what do u think about it.more over this man has spoiled the life of a young women who has her own dreams .
this man is old enough he could have spend the rest of the life with her granddaughter and daughter's family .what do think friends?

Did anything happen between the daughter and father? Did they fight for this? It's unreasonable to forbid his daughter come to his house. And I think he don't have to spend the rest of his life with his daughter and son because of age. He can chase his own happiness. It's his right to find his own love, even though it's weird. It happened, Let's face the truth.
I also saw this kind of story in China, but not too much.

yeh he has the right to chose his life but he can't avoid his daughter and in Indian culture his action could really affect his daughters life her in laws will tease her and will not give her any respect as she has no support from her family.the daughter will have a real mess of life because of her father 's action.

I think the daughter is not very happy with her father choosing a wife who is much younger than him. This generates a permanent state of tension between them and is a constant reminder for the father that his daughter doesn't agree with his decision. So, to avoid any conflict between them, he chose to end the relationship with his daughter.
I don't think this was a very wise thing to do, as his daughter could have been of great support for him and his new family.
