Well today is my sons parent teacher conf. and he gets his report card. He recently started taking meds for ADHD and has been doing much better. I am very excited to see the improvements in his grades. I hope that he is just as excited. I will post a new discussion as soon as I get back

Good luck at that conference. I'm a teacher, at home with my daughter now, but I've looked at both sides of the ADHD issue. There is a lot of controversy about meds. I say trust yourself to know your son best. You need to balance the teacher's observations at school with what you observe at home. There are very different stressors at school that trigger certain behaviors that you may not see at home. Another good indicator is how your son feels about himself. Kids always know when something is wrong.

He started taking ridilin almost 2 months ago and has not had any negative side effects. He has been through alot of life in his short 10 years so we are getting some counseling and going to church so things will start falling into place soon. Thank you for the luck.

Good luck with your time at the parent and teachers conference. I am sure that your son will be pleased to let you be told that he is doing really superbly. It is excellent that there has been much improvements with his grades.
My oldest son is fourteen years old. He is doing well at his school and is achieving high grades in the subjects he likes. I like the way his school are arranging the exam timetable over three years. My son has taken two exams already and done well in them. At his target setting the teacher said he needs to arrange his work experience.

Thank you for the luck. It went great A, B, B, and a C. I am extreemly happy and so is he. My son is going to be 11 soon and it has been a long 5 years of struggle. He so deserves to see how good it feels to get good grades and retain the information he learns at school. I am so proud of him and I tell him every chance I get. It's like he woke up one day and said "I can do it".
