What is GDI and the Tissa Godavitarne?

I am sure most of you have seen or read articles and advertisements about this GDI or Tissa Godavitarne's people search.Some of you might have been a member and already received or not received you pay-out. A friend of mine asked me about this and kept on sending links about all the "good" things Tissa had done in their lives (especially the financial side). I don't actually have interest in signing up with this affiliate program but my friend registered just to see what's really inside then we both found ourselves totally lost about it. We both can't understand what the site is all about and if it is a scam or not. Some say it's too good to true and others say it's really worth it. I don't really know which side to take. I have read one article that said it is about security that he did not continue to do whatever that Tissa asked in the 3-step to get a $125 instantly. When I asked my friend about it she said that there was a step which requires the member to submit personal information like Real Name and Real Telephone Number. Well, I think that it's too much to ask for it especially if it not a trusted site, who knows, it might be published elsewhere and be surprised by people knocking to your door and might harm you. Well, for me, I don't like that but why are there so many people who seem to have enjoyed this program and earned more than $200? I even saw a forum talking about who the real Tissa is, are his claims about that program true or just an imagination. He claims to have a mansion and so on. There are so many questions that I would like to be answered. I trust mylot people and I would like to be clarified about this program. Is anyone here got paid by Tissa? Do you have a good and first-hand knowledge about this program? Please share it here, thanks!
