I'm happily married and have 3 lovely daughters but in my almost 37 years of existence, I still carry a torch for my first crush. I met him in elementary. First grade, to be exact. I don't know why I got so attracted to him (not to mention that he eventually became the most handsome guy in school) that until now, once every blue moon, I get to dream about him. Pleasant and sweet dreams. He was a childhood friend who stopped talking to me in Fourth grade when he found out that I had a thing for him. Sigh! It was the saddest part of my childhood but still this fondness lingered. I no longer know what happened to him after high school graduation and never saw him again. Wherever he maybe, I do hope that he is well. Were you lucky enough to end up happily ever after with your first crush?

Sadly no. My crush just ignored me throughout high school. I'm a was a very shy girl when it came to my crushes so I never had a chance to talk to him. I don't regret it though. It's just of those things that you thought had a deeper meaning but then you grow up and then realize that there was something or someone more important than the feeling of being hurt. Back then I'd always imagine us talking and having the greatest conversation and just connect with each other. MY secret crush fueled my desire to excel in school because I wanted him to somehow notice me. But of course back then grades didn't matter to boys--just that expanding bra size

Sigh! We are on the same boat. I was shy and not pretty. Oh well, I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life, eventually. Thanks for the story.

No, my first love is a bitter experience. The reason why most first love doesn't work is because you're lack of experience on how to treat him/her, what to do or not to do etc. So you make mistakes and hurt each other during first love.

That's sad. Well, we learn from our past mistakes and move on. Hoping that the next will be even better and sweeter. Thanks for your time, xtremelyperfect!
