Suffering from...

Hello to all the myloters (I think I spelled that right, I am new here), This is not the most pleasant conversation topic, but it is none the less on my mind and I hope you don't mind me sharing because I could use some more advice. This has been something that is on my mind because for the longest time I have been suffering from constipation and I don't like it one bit. Who would, ya know?? I believe the primary reason I am suffering from this is partly because I take medication for depression and I know this doesn't help my bowels move daily. Does anyone else have a problem with this because of depression medication? If so, what are some of the things you have done to eliminate the problem? I was reading online that you are supposed to have 1-3 bowel movements a day and that is not something I knew before. Unfortunately at this time in my life, I have to take my medications to help me function but I believe I am going to be taking a more pro-active approach to having bowel movements. Some of the foods that you should stay away from that cause constipation as well are as follows: -Meat -Potatoes -Cheese -Fast Food -Breads -Pasta -Corn -Pizza -Milk -Heavy sugary products (Pies, Cakes, Cookies, etc) You should eat foods that are rich in fiber, like fruits, cabbage and sauerkraut, artichokes, papayas, and oatmeal with flax seed tea. I hope this was informative to you and maybe we can offer some other suggestions. I am willing to take any I can get! Thank you!

I have found it is okay to eat breads and pasta if I use the 100 percent whole wheat whole grain breads and if I use the Barilla Plus Multigrain pasta.
