How Much Time Do You Spend On MyLot?

United States

So I've been spending less time on MyLot recently because I've been busy with work and stuff, but I'd say I try to get in around an hour a day if possible. I was just curious as to how much time you guys spend on MyLot each day (on average)?? Or instead of a time goal, do you focus on answering a certain number of discussions each day?

I don't really know how much time I spend on mylot. It's not really something that I time, or anything like that. I just spend the amount of time that I want, during a certain day. I do set certain goals for myself with regards to mylot. However, they're more like weekly sort of goals and such.

Oh, yeah, I don't time myself or anything either...I sorta guesstimate the amount of time I spend, lol. As far as your weekly goals go, do you set the goals with respect to the number of posts made each week or so?

It's a part time thing for me, I spend more time doing things that really need to be done, and now with my side job, its making it so that I am spending time online a lot, but I don't have time for mylot at the same time. Instead I have to do tons of research. So that leaves less and less time for Mylot. But when I do find time I try and cram as much in as possible here. Just so I know I did the best that I could do in one session.

That makes sense. I sometimes want to cram, but I try to make sure my response are all as high quality as possible instead of just trying to fit as many in as possible. But judging by your response, I'm sure that's not a problem with you, your posts are clearly good quality!

It all kind of depends on how good of the discussions are when I get on. If there are a lot of great discussions that I can write some good responses too then I can be on mylot for an hour or two. If there's not a lot of interesting topics though sometimes I can be on for about 10 minutes.

Yeah, I find that true as well. If there's nothing good, I might leave and come back a little while later in hopes of a better discussion. Or I might just browse through older discussions that I might have missed and respond to those that I like =P

For me, I usually spend about one or two hour here on mylot. But I am very busy recently, so I have not come to mylot for about several months. And now it is holiday, so I come back again. I love to spend time on mylot. Have a nice day!

Wow, I wish it was a holiday where I was....Does that holiday have to do with Chinese New Year by any chance??

Hello, It's true that I don't spend much time here in myLot. But I think I will learn many things if I spend much time in myLot with my online or real friend. I don't have any real friend here in myLot but I really enjoy myLot with all of my online friends. I want to say that I will spend much time here in future. If I waste my time in myLot, I will be benefited specially.

I do not have a particular time goal on MyLot because I just am here as I can be. My particular goal is a minimum of 25 posts, either discussions, responses or comments. When I do that I know that I will make payout at the end of the month, as long as what I post is of good quality. It is an average that works for me, and not an exact amount. I am not here for the money, necessarily, but going by the numbers and the amounts helps me sort of keep score. I can keep track of my activity.

That sounds like a good way to look at it. Judging by your activity number, you seem to be very active! I hope to one day be a big contributor like you :)

I don't spend a lot of time on Mylot much anymore. I've found that I get too bored by being here sometimes because the quality of discussions have truly gone downhill since I first joined here several years ago. It just gets hard to really get into the posting groove here. Sometimes I can visit for several days for quite some time and sometimes I'll go weeks without visiting. It's really whatever I'm in the mood for.

I agree, other things like school and work clearly take priority. But I feel like it's good to stay active every day, even if it's only for 30 minutes...just to sort of keep up with the MyLot community and everything going on.

I spend 2 or 3 hours here in Mylot. My goal is 20-30 discussion a day, so it will take 3 hours I guess. I only do Mylotting when I already finished my responsibilities on my regular job, because the is my priority. I focus on 20-30 discussion a day, and I like the earnings, it is just fine. Maybe you could do that, try to have ten discussion a day, then if you can add discussion per day.

That sounds like good advice! It's just that for me, I find it harder to keep track of number of posts rather than simply keeping track of time that has passed. But I like how you start at a lower amount, and then work up. I might give it a shot, thanks! :)

Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much, LOL! It's always hard to get off the site once I log in! I always set a limit and then I almost never stick to it!

I am here part ot the time each day, as I have other sites to do as well, so it does give me a break and rests my eyes and I do need that for sure. I do try to do what I can while I ma here and hwen I get tired, then I will do something else, and then come back later. I am be in here an hour at a time, sometimes less, sometimes more. It just depends on how much I find to do. I usually just respond to discussions to I can post for ahwile then, go do more sites and then come back andpost more. I really do enjoy being here though, and I hope to continue here for years to come. good luckt to you and happy mylotting.

Thanks for the encouragement! I think I should give that method a shot. Most of the time when I get on MyLot, I try to get everything done in one session, but it might be easier if I break it up into multiple ones, like you. Good luck to you as well! :)

That's cool. What kind of shows do you watch?? Personally, if I'm watching TV, I would probably post a response or two during the commercial breaks...you could try doing that :)

As long as I can. I do try and shoot for about twenty to thirty solid responses a day. Maybe more if I have even more time. There are days where I fall underneath that goal. Still, I do not really have a solid time duration. As I can rattle off the needed number of posts rather quick and sometimes, it takes a bit longer to compose myself. Not because of the lack of content, rather because of a surplus of content, as it can be hard to find a good place to start.

Wow, that's a really good number of posts each day. I can't even aim that high right now, except maybe on the weekends.... That's interesting that you find a surplus of content, I haven't really noticed that, but I guess I'm sometimes just limited by my knowledge on some of the content, so I can't always respond to some discussions that come up.
