For me, maturity includes emotional, behavioral and intellectual aspects. So, no, education does not make a person become more mature. I believe that wisdom is not only gained through our degrees of education, it also entails experience in dealing with situations, our jobs, and other people. Highly educated people can contribute greatly to a country's development if they are putting it to good use and human resources are not exploited.

i strongly agree with you because education has nothing to do with a persons maturity. in fact some persons who are uneducated act more responsible and are more mature than persons who have degrees and high education level.

I don't know where you read this from and what the context is all about, but I think there is something in it. Not 100% true of course but there is something. The statement is not excluding other possibilities of getting mature like people growing up from hardship, practical work experience and so on. By my understanding though I have not read the passage you mentioned, I guess better education widens people's horizon, which makes people mature a little bit earlier. They think of more, they analize matters more objectively. See? we can not experience everything on our own, but we can learn from other people. We can read and listen to stories, we can gather together to share other's matters. Once the gate of logic thinking opens, it can hardly shut again.

Almost everyone in this country receives an education and yet it is not the best educated people that always become the leaders or the pioneers.
I think education is a very important factor but it is not the only thing needed to make a person wise or mature. They also need empathy for everyone in life and respect too.
One thing that is quite common here is rudeness from rich people.
Not everyone of course but it isn't uncommon to be insulted by people who are obviously brought up with plenty of money.
I think that is a form of ignorance and yet they are educated at top schools all their lives.

This is what i tring to say, most of them claimed the high acedemic qualifications because there are born in a rich family. However get the bad result but also can graduate and continue study in college or university. Although in UN, 22 years OLD,also complete their with copy answer fron other like primary scholar.
Therefor, education can teach us so many konwladge but not become mature.

It depends. If the person applies it then yes, if no, then its useless. character also contribute to maturity as well as certain situations such as lost of a love one.

People don't realise that it is not book learning that makes you smart. It is the ability to apply the knowledge that you have in the best way that makes you smart. There are plenty of people out there who have naver been to a college, or even finished their basic schooling, but who have applied themselves to making a living with what they have, and made a success of it. As long as you put in a good day's work, and learn from your mistakes, you will eventually make it.
