I cannot forget world cup final against Australia. Whenever there is some discussion about Zaheer Khan, I am bound to go back to the final match and then a bitter feeling comes in my mind that we could have won the world cup.
He is a very good bowler but cannot say if he is the best.
I would love to see his best performance and its really good if it comes in coming world cup :)

I agree that he is not the only one responsible for WC defeat but a major contributor.
Probably we do not have best so what ever we have is considered best.
happy Thoughts :)

A part of me feels like yes but I'd like to mention Irfan Pathan as well..
Don't forget the hat-trick he took against Pakistan, and many of his match winning performances. He also won the "emerging player of the year" once...
But since Irfan is a struggling his form right now, and since he takes a long time to get back on track, I'd vote for Zaheer Khan at the moment..
I think RP Singh and Ashish Nehra are also good left are seamers. I think they should be given more chances in International matches.. Let's wait and watch these two as well...
But right now, yes, I think Zaheer Khan is the best left arm seamer who is also in his top form.

Zaheer Khan is definitely one the best left arm bowler of the current lot that India has ever produced as he can work up some serious pace and can be lethal on his day and when in perfect rhythm. I think Irfan Pathan would have been the one had he not got confused listening to a lot of experts and then drop his pace which all started when he wanted to bowl fast and generate swing both at the same time and in the process, he almost forgot his way of swinging the ball. Nehra is another baowler but he never looked fit and consistent enough!!
