I have been a mother a long time and have never given my children organic foods, but as I got older I have learned the many benefits of organic foods for myself. However, I want to know is it a good idea for me to give these organic foods to my grandchildren.

Organic foods are supposed to be raised with out using chemicals to fertilize or to keep bugs from eating them. They also don't use chemical herbicides to keep the weeds out of the fields. Organic foods are raised at a much higher standard than the non-organic. There isn't any proof that organic foods are more or less nutritious than conventionally grown foods. There isn't any reason that you can't give your grandbabies organically grown foods. It certainly won't harm them and may be better for them in the long run.

If its good for you to eat organic, then why wouldn't it be good for your grandchildren? I don't see why you wouldn't want to give them the same as what you eat. Unless you're someone who buys generic for the kids & hides the good, expensive foods for yourself...

Oh No, My grandchildren are my life, I just dont know if giving organic food is the right thing for children, my girlfriend says that foods that have been through the process have had all of the germs and other things that could harm them removed or killed off, but this is not the case for organics as they have not been protected with these processes. Since I have never had this be an issue with my own children and they are grown up to be very healthy individuals I did not know what to do. However, I just started eating organic foods and I have no little kids to hide the good food from, however I was wondering if I should give my grandchildren organic foods or stick to the foods they normally eat.

Maybe you should give some examples of organic foods that you know since not all of them can be fed to babies and little kids.if properly prepared i think its better for kids health rather than the processed foods that we buy in the groceries.were you dont really know if it really helps kids to be healthy.anyway vegetables is good for babies and root crops too as long as it is boiled and cleaned well.its the best idea i think to give to your grandchildren since it is natural foods it is less of the chemical that they put in the processed foods like extenders and the likes.

It is the best food your kids could get used to. Aside from it being free from chemicals, it is more nutritious and safer for them to eat. The best ones to start with babies are the fruits. I prefer feeding my babies fresh fruits over cereals or processed juices. In a day I prepare at least mashed fruits or vegetables for them and fresh juices, but making sure I remove anything that can cause choking. Think of the benefits they can get from fresh organic ones.
Happy feeding!
