What is your vice?

I think that all people in this world have things that they are addicted to. Things that they feel they are unable to live without. What are these things for you? What do you feel like would make your life have a lower quality in some way?
For me it is Pepsi (an addiction that I am trying to slowly cut out of my life) and also cigarettes (a dirty habit that I picked up as a teenager and have never been able to get out of yet, although it is less than it used to be).
Share your vices with me and let me know if you are doing anything to try to eliminate them from your life.

I know some people that are totally addicted to facebook. I personally like to check in a couple of times per day, but I really could live without it.

I used to drink soda, but gave that up a few months ago. For a few months I drank nothing but water, but then I started drinking more coffee. I guess that would be one of my vices. I don't like the amount of coffee I drink, but I guess it could be worse.
I also love my junk food, but again I haven't had any in a few months. I miss it, and crave it a lot, but I stay strong and don't have any.

I'm proud of you for being able to give up both soda and junk food. I don't have as much of a problem with junk food now as I used to, but I still do have a certain addiction to soda.

Can I say that the Internet is my vice? I just can't stay away. I have so many online activities, and I don't just mean social networking activities. Hehe.
If you have Pepsi, I have Coke although I don't drink everyday anymore if I can help it. I have a friend who drinks at least two cans of diet coke daily. I try telling him that it can't be good for him!

You certainly can say that internet is a vice. There are a lot of people that aren't able to live without the internet.

I find that I am spending too much time on here as well. I am addicted to being on mylot as well. I tried to take a break this weekend, but I ended up spending at least a little bit of time here every day.

For me, I don't have any vices because it's an unhealthy habbit. I'm just fond of networking like Facebook because I like to play some of their games but now, I'm trying to wean from it because I find watching tv shows is better than it.

It doesn't necessarily be unhealthy to have a vice in our life.

I think that I am addicted to fat. I love butter and fat makes everything taste better. Of ocurse, I do recognise that it is not good for my health and am making a big effort to cut down on this. I also am a bread lover- any bread as long as it is bread. I am down to 2 slices a day at breakfast without butter ( I smearit with a brown sauce or a dab of ketchup) but this is so hard for me. I bought a cup of soup just a short while ago and it was hard to say no when they asked me if I wanted garlic bread to go with it

Bread and carbohydrates are really hard to cut out of your diet. I did that last year when I started trying to lose weight. Luckily I haven't gotten heavily addicted to them again.

I'm not a big Pepsi fan (I prefer Coke), but ya--I'd say that my main vice is smoking. Like you, I started as a teen (when I was 15) and keep saying I'm going to quit, but... Well, I guess you know how that goes. Other than the cigs, I don't think I have any real vices.

I've never really had that problem but I know that there are a lot of people that do. I hope that you are able to change this if that is your desire.

I am addicted to Mountain Dew and I am trying to cut down. It is hard to cut down because I am so busy with my school work and trying to keep the house clean. I am also addicted to eating chocolate and I am trying to cut back on that as well. I guess we all have vices that we need to change.
I want to wish you the best of luck with trying to break your vices.

Thank you for the good luck wishes, I really appreciate them. As far as trying to cut back on things, I find that it is a lot easier to do when you don't have a lot of stresses going on in your life.

I met my husband through the internet, so it does hold a special importance to me as well.

My vice is probably being addicted to the internet. I spend countless hours just surfing around the internet, often doing nothing. At all. Even when I'm enjoying watching TV or movie, or listening to music, or reading things online I have a habit of surfing the internet, perhaps to check the news, my inbox or what not, and I go as far as to pause whatever I'm doing just to surf around the net.
Though some people might say that I'm procrastinating. Whatever rocks your boat :D

I have that vice as well, but I'm not one to regularly admit that I am addicted to the internet. And, when I am on the internet it is impossible for me to only have one window open at a time.

hi dorannmwin well to me my biggest vice has been to relegate
problems to my son now, used to be to my hubby, that I do not think I can solve. most to do with cable internet that to me is
pretty new yet. But I did learn to trust myself when I was taught how to reset my computer myself when the cable went off line.
So now I feel more confident but when it comes to computer innards my own son says do not monkey with that, just call me and I will repair it,so I do as I have no experience in that at all.
but I have learned to make the calls I used to palm off on my hubby to find out why this or that is wrong or what have you. As for the computer and the net and mylot those are my three big addictions and I can live with that just fine. as for my addiction to chocolate and potato chips, I can eat some chocolate and not shoot up my blood sugar, and as for potato chips I go to Lays baked although truthfully I would rather eat Lays original,he he he

I'm not the biggest fan of the baked chips either, but I will eat them occasionally. In fact, it is very occasionally that I ever consume potato chips at all.

I still cannot afford it even though my craving says buy it and you figure it later. I do not want to bounce any checks because of my craving. I hopeing after valentines day it will go lower. It we are expecting 8" of snow and my craving becomes more pronounce so I am fighting it. Still not sure who going to wing my bank account or my taste buds....Hmmmm

It probably will go on sale after Valentine's Day. At least around here things tend to do that. So, I would probably try to deal with the craving instead of risking bouncing a check.

Pepsi is one for me too. And it's one that I never intend to give up. Until the day I die, I will continue to drink Pepsi. The taste is rather addictive and it just helps me to get going during the day. Pepsi is something that I started drinking when I was younger. It is something that I feel like my day is empty.
I think the Internet would be considered a vice, to an extent. Of course, its not like I'm not spending most of my time doing something productive on it. It just is that I tend to be on there fairly often. All things considered, there are worst things than a vice of being on the Internet. Still, its one that I think I have.

I would agree that I consider the internet to be a vice for me as well. When I am at home during the day with the kids and/or without a car it is my only connection to the outside world with the exception of my phone.
