How can you say that the person is you bestfriend?

i think it's all down to trust and if you feel comfortable telling them anything,even your most inner most secrets,time has nothing to do with it

I really don't know... this stuff just happens with me. I guess it's being good friends with someone for a long time and well, sometimes I don't trust my best friends, but we're still best friends. It's kind of complicated on my end hahah. But time is definitely important. You really can't say someone's your best friend even if you trust them after like... 1 week. Because you really don't know each other yet, even if you think the person is trustworthy.

It is the things we have been through together. When I went through rough times she was the one there for me and vise versa. We stood by each other through all kinds of hardships when no else did. She is more than a friend to me, but she is my sister.

I dont imagine you could call someone your best friend after knowing that person only an hour lets say. And same with trust, can you really say you blindly trust someone if you know that person only 1 hr? So to me, it has to be a matter of time. How long Ive known that person, but it doesnt mean that if you've known someone for 10 yhrs that they're automatically your best friend. Your best friend is someone who is there for you every time you need help. Someone who will not judge you or put you down. This to me is a best friend and I cherish the few ones I have.
