What are the major preparations we should arrange for CNY 2010 ? Why ?

CNY is approaching soon and normally there are many things people need to coordinate so that they can have a meaningful CNY with their family. Please tell me yours so that I can take them as inputs for my own preparations. Thanks :)

Hi Milquet0ast. Welcome to mylot. hope you enjoy your time here. You can visit my blog julian-ang.blogspot.com for reference. basically, I think the most important part of CNY is the dinner during CNY eve. There should be several preparations and taboos that they (Chinese Oldies) belive should and should not be done. such as: the meals should have Fish, Noodles. Cantonese people believe that they should have "fat choy" dish and another dish (i forgot the name) during CNY eve. but everything is about bringing lucks, prosperity, good health and fortune.
