Yes i did in singapores famous street The Orchard,,My sandals gave in from walking,it snaps right in the middle of the traffic lights..but i wasnt ashamed, most people in Singapore are nice and friendly and wont laugh..ANd even if i dont have plans of buying anything bcos that place is very nice but expensive as well, but have no choice but to buy one and lucky for me there was a shop near that is on sale,so bought one stronger so it wouldnt snap again and i could walk farther down The Orchard..

I have done this before out of an emergency. My father was having a heart attack and we needed to get him to the hospital fast. Everything happened so quickly. We were already in the hospital when I noticed that I was barefoot.

yeh i have waled barefoot on crowded roads.its difficult. In india the roads are pretty crowded and not very tidy so walking barefoot is very risky as anything can hurt ur feet.
one is compelled to walk barefoot especially in the temples and the in and around its vicinity as in hindus you cant carry ur shoes inside the temple...

Ahuh! I've experienced that too but for the purpose of dancing. :) It was way back in highschool and even college days. It's fun because it's a group dance. At least I've tried it. No regrets at all.

Well yes, the beach is a public place too!
But if you want to hear about some more unusual places, then yes, me and my friend visited shops and supermarkets when walking barefoot last summer. We were coming from the beach we just didn't care to put our shoes on. The floor in the supermarket felt so cold, but it was okay to walk on the street.

I chased a guy outside once barefoot, but not on purpose. They had just mugged someone and I was changing shoes at my car, when it all happened. The crazy part about it was that there was snow and ice on the ground and I felt nothing. I did notice I ran better without shoes on than with shoes. Probably because I could feel all of the power I was putting on the ground.

The density of crowd when I walked barefoot is little to slightly moderate. My slippers just dont want to stick to my feet and I had to carry it. Lucky for me we only live in a town and not a city, if not I could never endure the shame of walking barefoot with hundreds looking at me.
