When we go to the grocery stores we see the garlic bread that is already made do you pick up a loaf of this Garlic Bread? Or do you buy just the regular bread and put your own butter and Garlic and make your own?

For really quick garlic bread, I like to use hot dog buns split in half. I mix butter with garlic and some italian seasoning, maybe a little bit of olive oil or parmesan cheese. Spread on the buns and place them under the broiler for a minute or two. We call them garlic sticks when we make them this way.

I have never thought to use hot dog buns but now I will give it a try. Sounds good.

I normally buy either Texas Toast or Pepperidge Farm garlic bread. I hate that it's so expensive and you don't get much for your money though. When I was little, my mom used to make our garlic bread to go with spaghetti and stuff. If anyone has a very quick and/or simple recipe for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm not a very good cook, so every recipe I look for online is too difficult. (It says to use a broiler, and I don't know how to do that.) Thank you.

regular bread is fine with me. garlic bread is also fine but people in the house do not like the odor of garlic. though i keep on telling them that garlic is good for the heart. i like butter on my bread too.

I make my own garlic bread by slicing a French baguette and toasting them. I mash a clove or two of garlic (it depends on how many slices you've got, I usually use 1 clove for 3 slices, more if you like a more garlicky(?) flavor) and I have olive oil on standby. I brush the slices with oil and rub the clove in the bread and toast them in the oven for 5 minutes. The smell is absolutely good when they come out of the oven!
