this incident happened recently in our college .one of the students in our college commited suicide since he failed in the examination . he used to be studying well and badly during his exam time he was hospitalised for some ill health and thus he could not prepare for his exams and this made him fail in 5 subjects , he could not over come this problem and he comitted suicide . do you think what he did is right ? is anything similar happened to someone known to you ?
i think the decision the boy took was really wrong . everything in life has to be faced and should be overcomed . there not be a stupid decision like this . wats your opinion on this?

Yes I think that decision was really wrong, but I think that has to do a lot with the fear of failure that many people have, which in many cases is reinforce by the parents and society, and on top of that who knows what other problems the guy may have had, for example failing in 5 subjects probably means his GPA will go lower and he may loose any scholarship that he may have had, so he probably got overwhelmed with the whole situation and took a wrong decision, also sometimes parents doesn't teach enough to their children how to deal with failure, they always tell us things like "failure is not an option", well you should try to don't fail, but there are some situations in life where we are going to fail, so parents have to teach their children how to deal with that, how to rise to the occasion, so they don't get desperate and take decisions that they can't take back later.

I agree with you. But I also think that the college he you go to must be absolutely ridiculous and a lot of the blame can be placed on the school. What kind of school/teachers would fail a student because he was hospitalized and couldn't study? This is a once in a lifetime thing- just let him get better and give him time to make up his work and study before letting him take the exams.

yes friend in our country the exams would be conducted in a common date and all should compulsorily attend on that day ..

Ahh, I see, that is unfortunate...Then I think he should've just waited a year and study...and then when he takes it, he can get a perfect score! .

It's really sad that such a thing happened in your college. It seems students nowadays face immense pressure from studying. But since that student was hospitalized during the examination period, he should be given the option by the school to sit for his examination at a later date. I am surprised the school didn't offer him the option and let him take the exam instead. Who should be blamed more? The student or the school? Or the student's parents? This leaves much room for debate.

It is wrong to take your own life.. We have to remember that our lives are just borrowed, to live is a privilege given by God. If problems overwhelm us, it is not an excuse to take our own lives.. It's a violation of the privilege given to us. Life's too short, why make it shorter by taking your own life..

I think he must have been really upset to do this and he had made his school his life. I think he probably could have tried again and found a way to get his education finished at another time. It is sad when someone does this and a shame that he didn't think that his life was worth anything else. You are right, it is something that he could have overcome with time, like everything else.
