Past or in the future? If someone you could give you this option, you choose the future or past, of course you can not change, no future, nor in the past, only to travel, and be in the position old, or to see your future?, I ll choice the past, 100%, i don t like to know my future, i am afraid, but i ll come back in the past, to try to be in few situations, when i was very happy, and see people who now are not any more in my life.

I know my past so it would be good and interesting to know what is there for me in future. There is no point visiting past as it will have collection of things , good bad and something that might disturb me as well. I would like to travel my future :)

Sometimes in our lives there are things happening that even now we do not know what was going on, can find an explanation in the past if you visualize it again; you can find there, in the past many answers to this kind of questions"why me"?

Mistakes give their results soon in our life so no need to know them by traveling past.

I would rather see the future.. If I'm able see what's going to happen then I would be able to plan better so that when that particular instant in my life comes, I would be ready and openly accept what lies ahead.. We all fear the unknown right? but if we have a first hand knowledge on what's going to happen then we will be able to prepare for it and we wouldn't have to fear it..

you can t change the future if you don t know the future; but you can change the present, and this will make some changes in your future; God gives us a destiny, but he gonna do in the bag, we must make efforts change our future, if we know the past(mistakes from the past), and we make changes now, in present

Yes I wouldn't change anything that I see in the future.. That's why I placed this sentence in my response: "If I'm able to see what's going to happen then I would be able to plan better so that when that particular instant in my life comes, I would be ready and openly accept what lies ahead." What I mean is that I'd make the most of the present so that whatever lies ahead, I'll gladly accept it since I have already prepared myself for the inevitable.

I would go to the future. I would learn so much more in the future then I would in the past. I like to see if a certain character has been created yet or if a non-existent invention has been invented yet. I would also use future pop culture in a media so the future in my story will be accurate. I would like to see how much things have change. With the past lots of things I enjoy won't exist yet. I don't want to repeat anything all over again. I rather learn from my mistakes then to repeat it.

If you want travel in the future, but in my opinion is dangerous, so, if you want go in the future, you can t change something, but you can come with some informations in the present, and can change something in present, because i don t say any thing about present, so you can change present with future help...but i ll repeat, is very dangerous, because you can see that after one month you can die...and you will be disapointed, and you will lose this month too...is complicated to want to travel in the future

Hey icesmile! I definitely wouldn't want to know the future either! What's the point if you can't change it? And what's the point of going back if you can't change the past? The only thing that makes sense is to live in the present and live each day to the fullest! I forget that sometimes and I should remember that and we all should because no one is promised tomorrow! We should all live each day to the fullest and enjoy every minute!

It would be tough to pick in between the two. There's so many opportunities of learning and experience with the invention of time travel. It would be interesting to travel back in time to periods when the Egyptians were building the pyramids and other mystical tales that are throughout our history. It would be cool to check out Greece during the Greek Mythology period as well.

Hi icesmile, if i was given a chance to go to either past or present, then i'll definitely choose the former, because then i can go and change the mistakes that i had commited in the past and correct it all, i'll also be able to get to meet my grandparents, as well as uncles and aunts to had expired long time back. Yeah i'll go for the past, positively. Thank you and God bless.

You can t change the past, just because you will change the past, your present don t exist any more; is simple; but you an travel in the past, and where you made mistakes, you can saw mistakes, and in the future never repeat again; you can change the future, using past mistakes. I am right? you can change the future when you don t know how will be;

I think I would rather see the future instead of the past since I've already been there, done that. I wouldn't want to do everything all over again, eventually time would pass and I would see the future anyways. It's inevitable that the future will find its way here no matter what.

And if you will see that after a year, you will have a car accident and die...you can live with this thought one year? will be like hell; no, in my opinion is not good to know what will be, this can keep us alive

Thinking about that, if I was to know I was going to die in a year, I wouldn't mind, I would make sure that that one year I had left was a good one for me and everyone in my life. I wouldn't let it hold me back from living and it would be kind of cool to know how I was going to go in the end.

If I can choose what point in time that I travel to, then I would definitely choose the past and go back to the times with Da Vinci, Bernini, and Galileo. If I wasn't able to choose the point I would go to, then I would probably pick the future, because I would want to know whether or not the path that I've started on is the correct one or not.

Honestly, no I'm not. I've lived through my history and if anything traumatic happened, then I would probably remember it just fine. It's more interesting to me to go back and meet the man who invented a helicopter before electricity was understood. The whole scientists being imprisoned thing would suck though...

I think I would choose the past because my kids would be little again. And I could have my kids all over again. My kids were always my life and always made me happy and still do but I miss them being little. I loved holding my kids all the time. Now they older and sit on my lap lol. God only knows are future and I leave my future in his hands.

Thank you. I would rather have my life in Gods hands because I no its safer there then any place in the world. God knows what is best for everyone. We just have to listen to what he has to say to us. Sometimes we are never give him the time and sometimes we never are quiet enough to listen to him. But I trust him with my life. Have a great day.

Hmmm. this is a hard question. Hehehe. I'm still thinking.. thinking... maybe I'll go back to the past... cause even if you said that I can't change my future, I mean just by knowing it, then I would definitely change it.. Unless after I go back I would forget everthing that I have seen and live as if nothing happened, then in that case I would definitely pick future.

If I were given this dilemma, I would still choose the past. But I wouldn't want to go back into history because I'd try to change some parts of the past which might make things worse now and might erase my existence. So I would not choose to go back in history and change things such as slavery, no, I would choose to go back to my time and warn myself not to do the things I did. It would be interesting to observe and see what my ancestors looked like and did, if I could take a train ride through their moments in time. But I should be forced to stay on the train and not interfere, even if I saw bad things happen. It's funny, but wouldn't it be odd that if sometime in the future we were able to go back into our past. And wouldn't it be freaky if the ghosts and nightmares that scared us as kids were really ourselves trying to warn us and keep us from making bad decisions and doing things that effect us now?

Hi icesmile, Yes. I have been working on my genealogy tree since 1973. After all those years of looking I think I found some family members. My grandfather was kidnapped when he was a small boy. So I'd like to go back and see why the lady kidnapped him, who his father and mother were, who their parents were, etc. The lady who kidnapped him had told him that we are part Cherokee Indian. Both my grandfather and the lady who kidnapped him are deceased now, so I am on my own. And do we have kings or queens on our tree. So I'd like to see what they all looked like, the kings, scoundrels, slaves, all of them because they are the reason I am here. :)

I would love to see into the future. Imagine the gadgets that will be around! I am not sure I would want to live there permanently though. I think we are sort of made for our own time ,for instance our immunities and our body composition. They say that if we went back in time we might give the inhabitants all kinds of diseases that we are now immune to and I certainly wouldn't want to pick any up myself from the past or the future,or be the carrier of something now that in the future there is no immunity to (like the common cold).

You can travel in the past, only in your time, in your life time, so if you are not a ghost now, mean that you had imunity to your past life desease.

I am interested in Past travel, not because I necesarily believe in it. Its just that I have had to main focus besides the time I live in now. One is in the 1500's or thereabouts worked on dress, furnishings etc. I am in this Room overlooking the Docks. The people look like Doctors and Nurses, I am unsure where I fit in, its weird. But if I was asked where to get an item from in there I would know. it is weird the Room I always see exactly the same. The other is a Building in New York, which has curved windows all decorated. i would like to understand more. I am sort of Physic, and I don't get that either.
