I am just curious how many people get friend requests and then get PM's full of people that want you to be a referral and never see or hear anything else from these people that want you to add them? do you delete them? I have got a few of these and it does get annoying to me when I start getting what I would consider spam and I end up deleting them from my friends list. If I want to know something about a site and want to possibly join, I let the person know that I am interested in it and ask that they send me the info.

If I want to join someone's site, I'll do it on my own. I have a note right there at the top of my profile telling people they'll be deleted if they solicit me to join their as their referrals. And I do delete them! I don't like being used.
If it's someone who has been a friend for awhile or has contributed to my discussions or interacted with me in some way, I will just ignore it unless they do it again and then I'll delete them.

maybe I should do what you have done and post a note on my profile about it, Dragon! They are really annoying, especially when I look at the PM and then look at what they have accomplished on this site and it is usually almost nothing at all.

Yes, that's what I mean when I say I don't like being used. A lot of those people seem to join just so that they can find a bunch of people to be their referrals and they have no interest in being members of the community.

Hello mzz663 me too have many friends here at mylot, even some are of that type which you have specified, but am not deleting them from mine friends list.As think that we might have an good friendship here at mylot, even after some time later.Well you see mostly everyone here looks for some benefits in friendship, even some one believes in their reliability.Well me too am getting lots of offers to join many sites, but am only joining those that interests me much.Anyways keep it up with your mylot an its participations, as well as try not to delete anymore friends, as might be useful in near future.Happy mylotting.

I have had a few, and as soon as they start doing the PM's...I delete them immediately. I don't have the time to deal with those that can't seem to follow the rules here. I am not going to risk getting my account shut down. I'm also trying to go through and delete some of those friends who haven't been on mylot in more than a year.

I still have friends that I added when I first joined mylot a little over three years ago, I think sometimes some of them end up coming back and I know there are some that will never be back but it's the ones that send unwanted messages that I have a hard time dealing with on here.

It gets old when people do this, it's like they join here just so they can send these messages and they don't seem to do anything else. Gets annoying. I knew when I added you that you have a lot to say and I'm glad you're a friend that I have added!

I get alot of these as well and yes you are right there are alot of people that send you just a link as well and then that is all they do.I never join under them if i have not asked for it and if it looks a good site i will wait until one of my friends join and then i will join under them as that way it seems right that way. There are also alot of people that put just a link on a discussion and that also winds me up as well as their discussion is removed and you can see they are only on here to get referrals.

The referrals are not friends for me. Just they work for me-only this. They work and I pay. Friend for me is person who have a respect, can help me and hear me. The money can't give me a friend. I can't bye friend with money. All is connected with the relationships

If the person is someone that I know, I'm happy to get involved in whatever they are pitching, but if not, then I will take note of the program, and look for an actual friend of mine who is involved. I have a lot of on-line friends, and if someone I've known for the last 10 years is involved in a program that a new aquaintence is also involved in, I'd rather give my referal to the old friend.

No I don't delete them but if they keep pursuing their money making site which am not interested I'll just ignore them and continue mylotting. They will come to realize sooner that you are not a good potential for them so will stop automatically.

mzz663,
I suppose that's what it means by having all kinds of people around the good and bad as well without exception to myLot here.
So far, I have not been SPAMMED by friends here and I suppose it just have something to do with my hesitation in accepting friends easily on the internet. I usually do not accept people into my friend's list without first looking into their profile proper.
If just any one of them is not actually who they are or SPAMS then, I will not hesitate to delete them from my list and report these "bots" to the site's administrators of the abuse or SPAMS.
I hope that you will not only delete them but report them to administrators so that they would not be allowed into the privilege members area.
Take care and have a nice day.

Other members usually send referral link if you start asking questions or posting about money making sites. I believe they see it as an opportunity to get you as their referrals. I noticed it when i was just starting and ask questions about earning sites in one of my interests. And personally i don't get offended by it, if don't want to join i simply PM the sender back that i'm not interested or i'm already a member of the site and thank them for their effort. But i have not really received a spam from any members in a few months already.

Well, when I received like that, maybe I check the site first, whether it is scam or not or whether the site is good or not. And if I'm interested with that site, maybe I'll join to that site without being referral, because I don't know who are those people and of course they add me just for being refferal and just for the money..
