hi guys and fellow magicians. I'm from the Philippines and i was wondering about rules in magic or the norms. This thought came up to me 'cause my friend asked me about some rules in magic and told me if I can come up with like 10 rules. so far I haven't come up with 10. Basically there's this rule that 1. magicians shouldn't tell the spectator the trick or else it would lose the meaning of it. Another one i was thinking was 2. don't show a lay man a trick or an illusion if you haven't perfected it yet (practice!) Anyways i forgot what i was thinking right now...
Any stuff you might want to add or say? this thing sometimes makes me sleepless sometimes because of this thought in mind.

Here are a couple more...
Never perform a trick twice for the same audience or person too quickly, let some time go by if you have to.
Don't ever reveal what is going to happen, just do the trick.
Always check your angles first, some tricks cannot be performed surrounded.
There are many 'rules', but you must decide which to follow as your performance is your performance, some rules may not apply...

I've got a couple more...
- Practice not only the trick itself, but the presentation as well.
I have seen so many magicians perform the trick once they've practiced the "mechanics" of it is down pat.
- Let every move and words be relevant to the effect of the trick. This is the perfect way to "cover-up" your misdirections.
