I never have not been there, but I have a cousins who lives in Holland over recent years. So I believe that sooner or later I will go in Holland...!

I have never been to the Netherlands, but I know many people who have been guests there, and I hear wonderful things. The Netherlands used to have excellent midwifery and home birth training programs, with lowest maternal/newborn mortality rates in the world, but as western medicine spread compulsory hospitalization of childbirth, the Netherlands' hospital birth rates increased and homebirth with midwives decreased. Is this true?

My husband is from Holland. I have never been there, but can't wait to visit. I am told that it is a beautiful country. Very open minded people.
