Hello everyone,
its not a myth well is the facts,hehehe...Is it true that ladies spend more on fashion and beauty stuff than food?
For some circumstances i strongly agree, food is just a normal things for me, i eat very simple and don't spend much on food but i can spend few hundreds of myself stuff.
But of course i know how to limit things,i will not spend beyond my budget.hehehe..I keep more on my piggy bank..hahahaha..
How about you guys?do you agree on this?

I don't hesitate to spend on food and clothes. Both are basic needs, and as much as I can, I try to not give in to the fashion trends. I don't really use much beauty stuff, just a few essentials. I believe that as our responsibilities as a woman, wife, or mother add up, we think of our loved ones' needs first and become practical & wiser spenders.

Not really. I spend more on food. I like to be beautiful. But I don't like cosmetics. I spend the money on healthy food because I believe healthy people are more beautiful. Some ladies around me prefer to eat little to lose weight to keep slim, which brings trouble to their health. That is not my way of life.

I agree your good health will keep your appearance looking good too and if you feel good, you live a more active life.

Not me. I spend a lot more money on food than beauty products.
In fact, I do believe the only grooming/beauty products I buy are soap, shampoo&conditioner, and shaving cream? Maybe lotion, but it's always a cheap kind. No makeup, no special creams or whatever.
I do spend a LOT of money on food, but it's not mostly for me. My toddler eats easily two to three times as much as I do.

Well there are those who spend more and there are less depending on the attitude. Foods should not be expensive it should be bought health wise. When a lady spends for fashion then maybe because it is needed on her way of life. Say for example she is a model or a career woman naturally she should look her best in all her dealings. But any of these two should not be sacrificed for both are important in our lives.

In some cases, it can be true. Though I spend much on both. I am a big eater and I always find pleasure in eating delicious foods. I often go out even if it's already midnight just to eat something tasty. On the other hand, I also spend much money in buying fashionable clothes and usually buy expensive ones. Buying beauty products is one of my most important agendas. I cannot live happily without these things. It makes me happy and confident as well. I think I just got used to these things. So if I only have limited amount of money, I think I would spend it more with buying beauty products rather than of those special foods.

I also save half of my money every month. As for the other half, I spend it equally on food and shopping. Both are important to me. I love eating good food. So it is okay for me to spend a lot of money on gourmet food. I like eating with my boyfriend and friends once a month at fine-dining restaurants. I also treat myself to some shopping once or twice a month. I tend to buy a lot of clothes esp. when there are sales. As for cosmetics, I just stick to the basics. I don't buy cosmetics until it is already empty.

Hmm.. I probably send more on food. Hehe. I don't buy fashion and beauty products all the time, as opposed to food which I purchase almost on a daily basis. I guess some products are really expensive and maybe that's where the impression that ladies spend more on fashion and beauty products than food. Some also see that expense as investments.

I wish I had the luxury! I have been unemployed for a year and am struggling every week to find money to have enough food for myself and my husband. Any makeup or shampoo or anything I have comes from the Dollar store.
So when I get a job, YES I am going to buy some nice clothes and makeup, just for the confidence of not looking like a poor frumpy housewife anymore!!

I am a female and I definitely do not spend more money on fashion than on food. I am the main provider for my husband and me because I already have my college degree and I try very hard to make every penny count. It's more important to me for my husband to be well fed while he finishes college than for either of us to shop spend money on clothing or beauty supplies. I don't think our circumstances would be any different if we were more well off. We tend to buy clothing at second hand stores and I'm not a big fan of beauty supplies. I don't anticipate ever spending more money on myself to meet my fashion needs than on things we need for my family.

I know that I don't do that.
For one thing I never wear make up or perfume of any kind.
I don't like them.
Secondly , I would much rather be comfortable than fashionable.
My clothes are practical mostly and last a long time.
It is more sensible to have good food than fancy clothes.
I do know people who are just the opposite though, they eat awful stuff and wear very nice clothes.
I think your insides are more important in the long run LOL
