'best discussion' award in mylot

Hi all, sometimes I wonder if I can mark 'Best' against a topic started by other mylotters. As we have a concept of choosing 'BEST RESPONSE' , what if we have it same for the discussion started??? Or do we really have them already in mylot??? Suggestions please??

Only the discussion starter can award the best response and I feel that is how it should be. The discussion begins with a topic and the starter sets it out from their own point of view. It is up to them to choose when they see a response which fits their topic. Others would probably see it differently and might choose a different response because they did not fully understand the topic that was in question or did not read it from the perspective of the user who started it.
The 'mark best response' sign only appears to the discussion starter and not to those who respond.

Thanks for the response. But what I meant was, when we reply to any of the discussions , if we feel that this discussion should deserve some place in mylot, it would be nice if we have the option of awarding the 'STARTER' for his creative topic....! I just wish that there is a way of doing this in mylot!![/i][/b]

Oh! I read that completely wrong - must be too early for me 
Now to answer correctly 
Under the main topic of each discussion there is a box to rate it.
The discussion which is rated the most each day has a place on the home page as the 'highest-rated' discussion.
Isn't that already some sort of award which we can contribute to?

well it all depends on the discussion starter, if he gets the solution to his problem, then he can give the best response to the responder, i don't think other members who are responding the discussions can give best responses, to others.
