I am trying to decide whether I should buy a cat or a dog. What pet should I adopt?

I prefer Persian cats. My sister used to have a Persian cat that loves to play fetch like a dog. She have to give it away because her new landlord doesn't like pets. We miss it sooo much!

Actually, it depends on your choice. If you want a pet you can take along for a walk or trained, then choose dogs. If you want a pet that you can pamper, then choose cats because they are prima donna in a way or they wanted to be treated like royalty.

I am for pet dog, i like dogs a lot, is a very friendly pet, and i will be honest, and say that i don t like cats to much even i have one. But if i can choice again, i will vote for dog, for me is more faithful and can protect me, as i protect him too, A cat is more...i don t know how i can explain, we say here something like this; a dog all time pray to God to keep the master alive to can give him food; a cat will say; God , make my master die to eat all his food. Maybe is a joke, but i will be for a pet dog.

Hi yasmeen, cat is tender and always looks elegant in its every gesture. It loves to keep up with us closely no matter where we are when staying at home. It could take good care of itself very well, as long as food is given punctually. If you really don't mind and enjoy to have pet cat at your heels all the time. Then you can try to keep a cat as pet If you wish to adopt pet dog that can keep inside the house you can pick the suitable breed with small size. All dog has the habit to relieve itself outdoor freely. Therefore we should have regular time to walk dog outside to let it to relieve the bowels. Our pet dog really enjoy this golden walking time I have kept both cats and dogs as pets before. Both of them are lovely respectively. I never keep any pet at the moment for lacking of time to take care of them. I hope what I'm sharing here at least could give a little help to you. Take care and happy posting

Cats are cute animals. They are just like small babies and their attitude like rubbing to your legs, kissing your legs and hands, sitting or lieing next to you, sitting on news paper without allowing you to read news paper and mewing for your attention and so on are all beautiful actions to look on. They even play with you. Dogs also play with you. But keeping inside the house will be difficult. Cats can sleep anywhere, inside the almirah too, on the cupboard, in the wash basin, in the carton boxes. But you have to provide proper place for the dog. Everyday you have to take them out for necessities. I have two cats and one dog. I love both cats and dogs.

My family has two cats and one dog. The person above was right in saying that cats are more independant, respected etc. However my cats personally literally spend their live outside. Though dogs require more attention. Walks, occasional baths, and so on. So make the right choice! Good luck!

The best pet is one that a person feels most comfortable with when they go and choose a pet. It would also depend on whether or not you have allergies to a specific type of animal like a dog or cat. When going to choose a pet for your home, the first few minutes of spending time with that animal at the pet store or a breeding kennel will be a good indication whether or not the person and animal are compatible.

It depends on how active a person you are. Dogs tend to require a lot of attention and if you are gone for long periods of time they can go crazy. cats are more independant in this respect and will usually fend for themselves. As long as you keep a clean litter box and freash food and water, you can be gone for long periods of time and they won't go crazy. They can be real loveable and would be happy just to curl up at your feat or get on your lap. So it totally depends on the type of person you are.
