Meet because of BENEFIT, but not becouse of LOVE!

Well. Hello!
I don`t know if my problem is actual, but I would like to raise this question.
Why is it so popular to meet with someone who you don`t love but who can make smth useful for yourself? Girls love rich influential boys, boys "love" their chief`s daughter and so on?
I see such conjecture relations among different ages. 13, 14 years old boys choose popular and cool girls in companies in order to become cool and popular themselves. They meet with such girls becouse they are loved by everyone, they smoke, use foul language and so on. But they can fall in love into another girl, but they won`t be together couse she is not around.
At the age of 15, 17 boys choose easy accessible girls; or girls meet with rich and cool guys, hoping that with his help they will get lot`s of admirers.
20 and more - young people think only about career.
So, they love becomes run-of-bank.
Why?

this only happens on people obsessed with vanity, money.. there are still some that meet for love, and some who aren't. unfortunately, i don't think this will change any time soon

well it depends a lot in you, because not all of us make that, i don't make that if i like a girl too much like for love her then i would make the possible to get her as my girlfriend. Sometimes i only want to do something with somebody so i go for easy girls:$. Hope my answer is useful not so good english:P
