During the course of your life you must have met several people or student who have only theoretical knowledge of a particular subject. If you ask them something to learn they will certainly so it. But when you tell them to explain they will fail. That is due to absence of practical knowledge. A practical knowledge is always respected everywhere. So our knowledge must not be confined to book. We should also acquire practical knowledge from the world.

it should be the practical because when you need to repair something you need a practical experience to do the job..

It depends on the situation, but both is important. If you are doing technical thing than practical knowledge is more important. And if you are doing medicine than both knowledge is important.

In my view the practical is good and better than the theoretical, why I'm saying this with help of practical only the person can develop his knowledge and learn that thing, but in theoretical u can't do that,so the practical is important than the theoretical, and have a nice day my lotter.

i think practical knowledge is the best one . since in many occassions the real life situation will be more troublesome than we think . hence we may have a good experience and learn a lot in practical . more than that we can learn a lot of things if we were doing a practical thing . but on the other hand we cant just go and do anything in practicals we may need a bit of theoretical knowledge for us to know some of the basic things on any topic . but the practical knowledge is the best one in my point of view ..

I agree with you. Theoretical knowledge doesnn't make sense if they can not give directions to our practice. Practice is the way to consolidate theory and people can learn more knowledge than that they learn from books. So I definitely believe practical knowledge is better and more important for us.

You're absolutely right. I know a lot of people who own companies and dont have any theoretical knowledge. They succeeded only with the practical knowledge they acquired over the years. Its always useful to have the knowledge, but if you havent put it into practice, its like knowing how to fly an airplane and actually flying one. Great to know how, but until you actually fly one, you'll never know if you really can or not.
Practical knowledge is called experience. You can NOT get experience from a book. You get the knowledge but not the experience.
Theres a saying that explains it very well: "If I knew then what I know now"

practical knowledge is better than theoretical because practical knowledge is better to work theoretical knowledge is not important with practical knowledge is important to tackle situations

I vote for the practical knowledge as it differs from the teorical one ... its practical as earned with experience and flexible as adopted for your needs ... but I must say that the teorical knowledge sometimes is more advanced as in constant development and evolution ... each way has it's own strong parts , but combined are the key to success .

Hi Friend,
If you are theoretically sound enough but never operated a PC practically can you write a program in C++? The reverse is also true if you know how to operate a PC that doesn't mean that you are programmer. So a perfect mix of both practical and theory is recommended.

according to me practical is more better than theoretical because we can understand and what is thought while seeing that it goes inside our head i am always comfortable with the practical, and on theoretical we can only mug up which we can forget in our exam times and on practical what ever we have seen we can make it in our mind and give the answears.

I have opinion of this matter is that practical and theoretical both are needed to gaining a good knowledge about certain things if we learn certain thing without getting practical knowledge it doesn't help ful much and vice versa so both are the interludes with one another.

For me, practical and theoretical should be equal. But I prefer I can more practical knowledge, I learn a lot of theoretical knowledge, but I don't know how to real use it! So for me, I want more knowledge of pracitcal.
I think love can not be just one kind of knowledge, and maybe the best way is to learn practical knowledge before than theoretical!

I think knowledge can be best utilized when it involves theoretical and practical backgrounds.
Theories and applying these theories must go hand in hand.
What's the use of a theory when u havent tested its effectivity.
Some practical knowledge may not be so concrete, when not complemented by theories.
Sigh..life must be simple isn't it? haha

Yes, it is very important for everyone to be practical in everything. Many people I know even success in life because of practical experience. In fact, there are so many people with that fact. But to tell the truth, we cannot omit the theoretical contribution to this world. We can not pretend that many theories have changed this world into it now. What can I say is that we must build a strong relationship between a practical and theoretical institution, because human are meant to be social, not individuals.

hi sanjeev
this is good discussion.....
both are needed and practical knowledge is enough to live.
theory knowledge gives the basics and the practical knowledge gives the experiences and ideas(how to solve our problems)..
so i think the practical knowledge is important.....
thanking you
have a nice day

hi! Many will say and even say it is the practical knowledge the better one, but I don't think so. Because if we know the theoretical part, then it will not be so difficult to us, to make the practical one. Yes, it is true that many people are very good at theoretical knowledge, but are very weak in the practical one. But I am not from these people and that's why I say that the theoretical knowledge is better than the practical knowledge!

hello sajeev... according to me theoretical knowledge is a waste.. really just imagine this case.. u have mugged up everything that are the connections but u actually cannot operate it.. whats the use?? education seems worthy only when we gain knowledge practically... theoretically studying will not help... those who study theoreicaaly just pass in exams and the others try to apply it.. so which is better...
