I was doing well the past days (though with little disappointments but manageable).
I was already in bed with my daughter lying besides me. The night was so calm but all of a sudden without a hint I felt this sudden burst of sadness.
Sad memories and experiences came flooding in. The heartaches and pains brought by pass years bad situation came rushing back. The sadness came even to a point wherein I felt like I'm going to die sooner than my normal natural life span. It made me think of writing my last will and testament... Instead, I came to Mylot and posted this...
Weird, insane, morbid, I don't know what hits me right there and then but I cried a bucket to make myself feel a little better for the pain and sadness were so real...
Does anyone here had experienced the same? May God bless us all...

Where there is a joy, there is a pain. Once i read HEMINGWAY on THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA and i was highly influenced by two sentances.
1. Man can be destroyed but not defeated.
2. He is the strongest person who stands most of the time alone.
Hope u have understood what i m going to say. Take care.

I am speechless reading your latest response. You have somehow stated the truth. The truth that is not alien to me anymore but I have forgotten because of the many worldly things I had been prioritizing the past few years of my life. I wasn't really living and had no life at all. My heart had deceived me and I must admit that I can't contradict with you that it is the weakest part of our body....
I'll keep this words in my treasure chest for me to delve it someday when I needed another soul uplifting.:-)
I want to let you know that your being kind and accommodating means alot to me.:-)

I do get it, Shibham. Thank you for reminding me of that. Maybe, I was just too weary, physically mentally and emotionally. For a moment there I was lost and forgot that I am a special creation of God. But, thanks to you and those who responded here, you, guys made me stronger and therefore, I willed not to be defeated, at least not my spirit.:-)
Have a wonderful day, my dear. Your response was quite shorter but very meaningful and it has touched me in a special way...:-)Thank you...God bless you.

Feeling of happiness and sadness is depend on the mood of mind. Sudden feelings overshadows on our mind. Many things works behind it. Some psychologist says that season has role on the mood of mind. And the season after the winter people's mind is filled with some absurd feelings. In this season the humidity is decreased and it effect on the mind negatively. This is also be a cause of your sad feelings.

Hello, Aaleexix.:-)
Firstly, thank you so much for being the first respondent. :-) I've heard that in some countries the seasons truly affect one's mood. Like in Canada they have what they call "Winter Blues" that made a person really sad especially an alien to that country.
I am from the Philippines and it is so humid here right now. I am not sure though if this sudden feeling of sadness has something to do with the humidity. :-)
But, I do agree with you that many things work behind and our mind and imaginations as well as our emotions.
Thank you for sharing that to me.:-) Have a great morning.:-)

We all get that feeling once in a while. I had that happen to me last week, I just got sad and depressed for no reason in particular. We all get the blues, it's just a normal part of healthy emotion.

I think it is a normal thing for all humans to feel different emotions at a given time even without particular reasons. besides, we are feeling people. what is important i guess is that we know how to handle it and never to hesitate to readh out to others for comfort or for unleashing whatever emotions that be.:-)
Well, thank you for sharing your thoughts and views about this. This gave me an assurance that I am indeed a normal feeling person.:-)
Have a wonderful day, Illfavors...

I'm so glad that you're feeling better. Just reading the responses you received was heartwarming to me. Since this came on at night I wonder if fatigue played a big part in your sadness. Being tired seems to make all of us feel more vulnerable. You did a good thing by reaching out to others. There are certainly some nice people here at MyLot, huh.

Hey Erueka,
Don't be sad!!! It happens some times. We have very popular saying here, when you are feeling difficulty and not able to find any way out.
Put your hand on your heart and say "ALL IS WELL" It may not solve the problem but will give strength to face it.

Hi hope you are feeling happier now.
You mentioned your daughter so I think perhaps it may be a bit of the baby blues and the aftermath of giving birth. This can happen even a couple of years after you have given birth.
I think it might help to know a lot go through this x

It will happen to anyone! Life full of happy and sad, sometimes when you though of one of sad memory come out in your mind, the other just will come out together. I thick it's normal, but if I very upset, I just force myself to think happy memory. You just need to let yourself think possitive way. You can just remeber how lovely your daughters or something make you feel happy!
Bless for you!

Hi there, Shan. :-)
Well, maybe you are right since human have a very complex nature that can feel any kind of emotion at a given time. Finding a way to get rid of sadness is what I am actually doing right now, that's why I ran to Mylot for a sort of therapy.LOL
It is nonsense to wallow to sadness when you have so amny beautiful things in life to be thankful to God, isn't it? :-) and, you are right, my daughters are one of them.;-)
Thank you for being a prt of this discussion. Have a great morning to you.:-)
God bless you, too.;-)

I guess that can happen to everybody.Sometimes it seems we live in a very lonely world, even if we are surrounded by people or relatives.
We hold on to our faith, thats what He wants for all for us.
If these world can be the best place for us, then we might not need Him anymore
isnt it?
God doesn'nt want us to suffer though, but He has reasons why things are happening,
and He can't be wrong cause He is Almight and All-knowing and our Father.
Hold to our faith, thats the only we can swim.
Take care..

Hi there, Lipstick.;-)
Than k you so much for that uplifting words. It is true that there were times I feel different kinds of emotions and yes, I do agree that it is God's way of touching our lives. Not that He wanted us to be lonely or sad but just a little poke to remind us that He is there taking care of us.
I am holding on to my faith, Lipstick, no matter what I feel. Don't worry. Thank you so much for reminding me of God's graces and for bearing with me.:-)
Have a great day.:-)

Hi
I have wondered sometimes if there was only happiness and no other feeling to feel how wud i be then and what i wud want to feel always. I thought and thought and came to a conclusion that I would never choose to have only 1 feeling. I would get bored.
Sometimes i feel sad and sometimes happy. Its normal as long as both are equalized.
But i think wen u get so sad just try to think of ur daughter and the happy moments she brings to you.
Good luck and best wishes

Hello, Emerald.:-)
You are right. sometimes we have no control of what to feel. It'll be lucking of life's spice if we are only capable of feeling one emotion all our lives, isn't it?
Well, as a matter of fact, I just hug here when she snuggled at me and then, I had this strength to get up and posted this or else, I'd still be in bed wallowing to that sadness I felt awhile ago...:-)
Thank you for bearing with me, Emerald. I truly appreciate that.
And, I noticed you are a newbie here. Let me welcome you here, then. I hope you will enjoy being part of this community.:-)Have a wonderful morning from the Philippines.:-)

I think, it is a normal human feeling to feel different emotions at one point of time to another. I can say now that it is nothing serious or alarming as long as we know how to handle it.
