Do you have a DVR? If so did it change how you watch tv?

I never thought DVR would change my viewing habits as much as it had. The combination of recording shows without having the right tape in and programming the nasty VCR with being able to pause, rewind, skip commercials when you are ahead, has been sooooo much fun, I must have gained 20 pounds! (That's weight not money for those friends on the other side of the pond!)
I usually turn the tv on a channel I like, let it get an hour or so behind and then plow through the programming with glee. My only concern is I'm running out of episodes of some series that I haven't seen!
With an upcoming move, I don't think we are going to have a DVR from our provider so I'm wondering if I'll miss it enough to shell out for one?

I've never had a DVR and heck, we don't even have cable TV anymore. I honestly thought I'd miss it but Hulu is really all I need. You can watch more shows this way and for less money. You may want to give that a try before investing in a new DVR.
