I know there is a active campaign now going on between many such ISPs ,verizon ,Sprint ,Vonage etc each claiming they offer cheaper high speed internet.I am happy for the customer caught up in this campaign because they will be the winner in getting cheaper prices.
Here I have 3G which I get through a wireless modem but trust me its not as fast as the name suggest but it is the best solution I have because at the moment I live so far that I do not a have landlines .
So what kind of internet service do you have ?

In Singapore, there are only like 3 to 5 Internet Service provider so there's not much of a choice. The ISP that provides the cheapest is the local ISP, SingTel and it's the easiest to get since the home telephone is usually Singtel by default. Right now, I'm using a wireless broadband modem from Singtel. With that, I can connect a desktop computer to the modem using cable and 2 other laptop wireless. It's working quite well.

I have cable through Roadrunner and I would be lost without it. I need the speed not only for play, but I need it for my work at home job. I have it bundled so it makes everything easier.

We have satellite internet, its pretty good and its fast, and its always on, we don't have to wait like you do with dial-up. We live out in the country, so we couldn't get DSL, only dial-up was available and it was so slow, then we found about the satellite internet and its available through our local internet provider, so we decided to try that, its not real expensive, and its reliable even in bad weather.

I think I have cable internet service. I am actually not 100% sure where it comes from though, but it is broadband. I get it provided to me through my apartment building. It comes with rent so I don't really get a bill for it and cannot really check and see who the actual provider is. It's fast though, and that is all I need!

We have 10 meg cable internet in our house and for our purposes it is plenty fast enough for us. The thing that I really don't like about it is the fact that the cost is so high. We have a monopoly cable company here so there is no way that we are able to comparison shop, we don't have a land telephone line in our house so it is out of the question for us to be able to have DSL and I've heard that satellite access isn't always dependable.

Internet connection and access method is very much important in your day to day business on internet and with Internet Applications. Dailup just finished and obsolete. Only the leased connection best both for individuals and corporate. I, at home have a utp connection which satisfy my all needs and requirements even on simple pentium4 class pc. It is opearting at the speed of 2+ mbps. In office, I am using broadband isdn connection from world class isp. I found it is O.K. at the rate of 2-10 mbps.

Since i live in australia and cable isn't really an option here im running ADSL 2 Broadband.
the speeds i get aint to bad, when i do a speed test on speedtest.net i get a speed of 20.1mbps with 29 ping. i mean my internet is really decent considering i pay AU$49.95 for 120gb worth of bandwidth where upload isn't counted
