Favorite way of having mango

It surprises me when I meet people who don't know a mango is. I love them. My grandma use to grow a few on her tree in the backyard when I was young. Of course when I was young I didn't love them as much as I do now. Figures. How do you eat mangos? off the tree? in a salsa? pureed?

I love my mangoes, unripe and the ripe sweet ones! I eat the unripe ones either with a mixture of soy sauce and sugar or just plain salt or plain sugar. I love making the sweet ripe mangoes into a mango shake with a little milk on it! Yum!

when I lived in hawaii I used to eat them off the tree but sadly new york is not hawaii =(. so now it is mostly smooothies and sometimes salsa I like mango salsa. and Mango chutney is good as well. Yummmers must go find a recipe now. TTFN
