Elance, have you tried it? how many jobs have you done so far?

Hello all, I just signed up on Elance this week. And browsed on some jobs posted, mostly on Data Entry. But before I can place any bids on those jobs, I need to passed their test and verify my phone, which I haven't done yet. I'm still reading on their how-tos and other information. So, have you tried it? any pros and cons you can let me know? I heard most people hired are from US or Canada, since buyers prefer whoever lives there. Let me know. I want to start jobhunting soon! :)
