Well, my kid's hockey season is over. He came home today from his games this weekend in SC and I took him to the doctor and his arm is broken!!! Bad time of the year to get an injury. He will miss the playoffs and a tournament this weekend in Philadelphia! I am so sad for him. He really hurt it in practice on Thursday night. It didn't look bad so I let him go this weekend. Now it is worse. I feel horrible. I should have taken him to the doctor on Thursday. He's tough! Played two games this weekend and even scored a goal today.
I hate he will miss the tournament and the playoffs. I was suppose to take him to Philly this weekend. It was going to be like a vacation for us. UGH!! Now I know how all the NHL players mothers feel when their kids get hurt!

Oh man!!Let me echo the other 2 voices here..Go to philly where he can be on the bench with his team. My son dislocated an ankle a couple of years ago playing basketball, as hard as it was for him to not be able to play..it would have been worse had he and his crutches not been on the bench, he was still part of the team, I think he kept stats, and he was with his buddies cheering them on.

We will go to the playoff games but the trip to Philly was already gonna cost us soo much money anyway!! He is going to continue going to practice so he can be with his boys. He is doing OK. Gonna take him to get a cast probably tomorrow. He is in a splint now. He actually is doing better with it than I am. I love to watch him skate. I really enjoy watching him play.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes! You are great friends.

That's too bad!
But, I feel pride for him. Knowing that he is a real hockey player! Playing injured and still scoring a goal! Like Sarah said, if there is a way that he can still go, let him. He is still part of the team!
I guess, even you M get the education of the road to being a professional hockey player. I hope he gets well soon.
