Hi everyone: I decided to start this discussion as I am getting very tired of the newbies asking teh same question, as how to earn in here or the other does mylot pay? I am here to tell you they do, as I have been paid several times. If you want to earn in here you much be active and participate in discussions, make them descriptive and have substan. The question is also asked do you earn more for strting a dsicussion instead of responding? I am here to tell any of you that are wondering, that it dosn't matter,as it is the quality of your posts that mylot is looking for. That is what our earnings are based on, as quality is more important than quantity. Whenever you start discussions, and get responses, you need to comment back, as you are only paid for what you do, and not what others do. You can't start a discussion and then leave it go and not comment back to the responses, as you won't earn if you don't comment back. There have also been discussions about earnings being deleted, and I am here to ell you that if you don't log in for at least 90 days, then you will lose your earnings. Also, please don't post referral links in your discussions, as they will also be deleted. I think I have covered everything, but if I missed anything, I am sure that some will tell me. Good luck to you all and happy mylotting.

Looks like you are pretty much irate with these kinds of post in here. Well I got used to that question and actually have avoided to answer them because as far as I am concerned I have answered this topics over and over again.

Hi I have read your comment.I don't agree with you as may be you have answered these questions in the past but how come new comers will get those they only see the recent posts and it is quite natural that questions ma arise so I guess you should better try to take the role of a senior and guide our new friends, after all you are not going to lose any thing.Hope you agree with me.

It isn't so much that I am irate, it is just the the newbies will come in here and start posting without having reade the guidelines, so they know the ins and outs of mylot. I am like you, I don't respondto all of them either. It is just that the same ones are asked over and over, and they do end up getting deleted when that happens,so in essence they are wasting their time psoting them. I really thing they could post more intelligent questions that the same ones, just by reading the guidelines they will get all the answers they seek. Thank you for your resonse and happy mylotting.

Hello Rose and Mutpal! Well one tip for newbies around here, you can use the search option on top of this site and type in there your queries. Choose discussions and all your queries will be provided for in that search. I do that a lot especially if I am not aware if the topic has already been posted in here. It will save you a lot of time and effort.

Sounds like a pretty good round-up of rules there. I think it is very clear, so I don't see any reason why some would get some of their discussions deleted or wondering why this and that. Very good one, I had a good read. Oh yeah, I'd like to add, for those whom want to post referral links or their banners from outside sources and sites, can do so creatively in their own mylot profiles.

You are most welcome, Rose. I would appreciate it myself if sometimes I'm reminded of things that I might slip off or forget without notice. No worries yeah. I think as we go along with months and years in mylot, we learn a lot of things naturally. And to pass on to new members, so that they will not make the same mistakes that we have discovered through experiences here. At least they have us for mentors, lol..

Thank you for reminding me about the referral links. I kinew I would forget something. I just hope that after reading tthi discussion they will understand how mylot works and post intelligentd discussions instead of the same ones over and over.I really do get tired of seeing them, and no doubt mylot admis do as well. Maybe this will hlep to curtail some of them. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

More than answering those questions over and over again I would like to see people actually respond to my posts instead of just leaving them blank and me responding to theirs. I comment on anyone who comments on my discussion plus I also look and see what discussions they have started and go comment on theirs.

Thank you for your reply. I agree if the person who started the discussion comments back it can keep their discussion open. I reply to every comment I get when I start a discussion. My discussion may not be right away but I will respond to and and all comments

Wow, I'm feeling the rage man, lol. I guess I can say 100% that you are talking to me a few days back, guilty as charged. I guess many also encountered this kind of feeling. I am a noob here in myLot and I admit the first time, my full intention is to make money, then I started commenting hoping for some money, I have not yet created any discussions that time and then I decided to make one. The first thing that appeared on my mind was "Does anyone here regard myLot as not just a money making tool??". Well, what i really wanted to say was "Does anyone here feels MyLot = facebook?", or something like that. After I posted that I received responses and then I have made friends that has similar views on mine about anything, I guess it was my break. LOL. Now I am not wanting the money, I regard myLot as a point-of-view lounge. So, I'm sorry man If I accidentally offended you before, hehe. Godbless, man

I am a femaile and no, you didn't offend me. I am glad that you have come to ralize thought that mylot isn't just about earning, as the knowledge you gain here, far out weighs what you earn anyway. The reason I started this discussion was to avoid some of the pifalls that befall some in here when they post the same thing that has already been posted, asked and answered. I also want them to succeed,, and so that is why I am helping them to do so. I am not really irate or in a rage so to speak, as I just want them to be aware that they are wasting their time posting discussions that will eventually get deleted and they don't get paid for them anyway. I do appreciate your feelings though. Thank you ror your response, and happy mylotting.

haha, I'm sorry. I was not careful of my words, I accidentally typed "man" instead of "pretty lady", haha. Well said, well said. I suppose you are at the age of 20's, based on how you respond. How old are you, miss?? really. I love guessing the age of the people commenting. LOL

Thank you for reading before posting. I wish that more of them would, and thatq is why I posted this. I want them to be aware of how things wsork in here, so they know and don't have to ask and can post intelligent discussions. Since I have been here, I couldn't even tell you how many repeat discussions have been posted and deleted. It is much more than we realize, I am sure. I hope this one dioesn't get deleted, and it shouldn't but you never khow. I just wanted to help others out as that is what it is all about and I have been helped, so I like to hlep others. Thank you for your response and happy mylotting.

while its true that newbies dont read guidelines before posting, the same thing goes with posting discussion about them. topics about newbies not reading guidelines or repeating topics has been posted several times and funny that we, who considered superior tend to talk about it repeatedly as well. it even received a lot responses. i just thought that both are waste of time.

I wasn't sure that it would go over to well, but the ones that have responde, are very happy that I posted it as it has helped them. I have accomplished then what I set out to do. Thank you for taking the time to read my discussion and happy mylotting.

hi rosekiss bless you , bless you, bless you. This is a discussion that has been needed for weeks, I have tried to'help; newbies but get so tired of the same questions day after day'after day,and sometimes it seems as if nobody ever reads our replies or if they do they do not go to the Tos or the guidelines or rules or the questions and answers either to read for themselves or refresh their memories. The one point that needs reiterating is that no you are not paid for the responses your discussions get---you did not do the work. we did. but you do get paid for the work you do so comment on all the responses.also you will find that that is really fun, you will see a discussion come alive, and you will really enjoy it.

I am glad that you appreciate this discussion. That is the reason I posted it. It did take me awhile to decide if I really wanted to post it or not, and I am glad I did. I think it will be very helpful to all those that need the help, and that is what it is about as well, is being able to help others. I just hope this curtails all the repeated discussions that have been posted lately. I haven't answered all of them as I just got tired of the same questions asked day in and day out. Hopefully it won't happen so much now. Thank you for your response and happy mylotting.

Hatley, love the new avatar. Did you do it all by yourself, or were you like me, and needed help? Doesn't really go with the Swastika and jackboots, but at least it shows that us in the Gestapo have a softer side too.

Hello Rosekiss, and well done to put all the things that come up again and again in one discussion. It's a better way to do it than to go into discussions which we know will be deleted. Hopefully, now that MyLot are sending out welcome emails with hints on getting started, things will change. Also, because people are now being told why their discussions are deleted, the message will eventually sink in. We live in hope.

I sure hope that the newbiew will pay attention to the hints they receive before they start posting, so as to avoid getting their discussions or responses deleted. I still see a few coming in here though asking the same thing how to earn, and aslo a few posting referral links. Either they didn't pay attention to the emails they received, or they didn't get them. I am gload for the changes mylot made as it will avoid a lot of problems in the future, I hope. In the meantime, I will continue to help others along the way, as I have been doing. Thank you for yoru response, and happy mylotting.

Hello rose kiss. I might say, this is the third time I've seen some one reminding the newbies over and over again. well, only a few are getting the message but that's alright because you are sending them a reminder and that's great. some had done the same thing and a few nebies had responded to it with great appreciation. trouble is if only all of the newbies are listening to our advices. but in my case i just remind them to read the mylot faq for the discussion rules.

I do the same thing and remind them to read the rules. I am sure that there are still going to be some that will have to be riminded, but if I can get enought to read this first, then maybe there won't be so many duplicate discussions out there asking the same thing over and over. I feel that if I have helped just 1 newbie, then it was all worth it. It appears though they are reading tt and responding, and that is what I was hoping for. they are very appreciative that I took the time to post this so that they know how mylot owrks. I am glad they are responding too, as that is a very good thing, for usre. I am accomplishing what I set out to do by posting this then. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

Hi friend, you did a good job by giving advice to our new friends but it could be little more clearer if you write it point wise.I could have done this if I knew this site as well as you do.I am still a learner. So I request you in your next post you write each and every thing point wise.Like how the stars are achieved?how is the rating system?what are the significance of colors?Does it matter if any body writes a rather bulky one in stead of a shorty?Does the bigger interesting writings fetch us more?Whats the timings for payment updates? once or twice a day?...... like that so many more questions ma arise from new comers.PLEASE DON'T GET ANNOYED BY MY QUESTIONS.I have asked these since you have taken the initiative to guide the new comers. Thanks a lot for your effort.

@rosekiss (30414)

You have soem valid points, and you are right, I did forget about the rating system. In case you are wondering about the ratings, it has to do with other users and how they rate your responses comments or discussions. I am sure thaqt someone will think of it, if i don't post on it. I think the reason I didn't was that I felt the points I did bring up seem to be more important and asked more, but yes the rating system is a valid point. I am not offended in the least by your questions. You are here to learn, and I am here to help when I can. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

What you have said is absolutely true. I'm a newbie myself and I joined mylot three days ago. On my first day I did 10 posts and got paid for them. And it is more than what some say it is. Each day I get more confidence and feel more comfortable in mylot. I love everything about mylot. This site is one of my favorites. You can express your opinion, respond, and just do all the things you would normally do online, except, here you get paid for it.

Welcometop mylot! You will find mylot a very good place to share with others andlarn, while you earn at the same time. You canalso makelots of friends which are very nice to have as well. I forgot to mention one thing in my disucssion so I will mention it here. Should you have any referral links, just post them in your profile or pm another user, as that is what mylot encourages us to do, as referral links in the discussions will get them deleted and no one will earn who posted to it. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.
