Hi friends, specially girls how long do you take to purchase a dress.. is it in minutes or hours and how do your husband/boyfriend react to it? and for boys do you get irritated when your wife/girlfriend takes long time in purchasing a cloth or do you have patience enough to wait for her to complete her shopping? Please share with me..

Good Question Chaitra!
You see since when I got married, I go to the market/shopping malls with my better half for purchasing her and my clothes and she takes considerable time to select a dress/cloth. She won’t feel satisfied till she has seen many varieties and brands and if possible more than one shop. I sometimes get restless with her, however, she would not budge from her stand. Now, I have become accustomed to her nature and do not lose my patience, when I need to go shopping with her for clothes. I think most of the women take time to purchase their dress/clothes because when we see others in the shop, in which we are purchasing something, I notice other women/girls also do not select any outfit easily………………….lol!
Have a nice day!

Hi Chaitra,
My hubby is always in hurry and asking me to make it fast. According to him, if you don’t like any of the dress then don’t’ waste time we can move to the next shop. Here most of the shops are displaying materials and if I like any one on our way, I may stop there and purchase it. In that case it may take very less time. But for kids shopping we may need more time to find out a suitable one especially if they are accompanying. There may be confusions, if we like then kids won’t like it, we go for the quality they prefer the attraction etc etc.

Hi Sree.. My husband also always be in hurry.. but I am always fast in shopping.. If I like some dresss very much and if the quality and cost is ok for me then I dont see any other dresses further and I just stop looking for other dresses and I will purchase the one I liked.. so my husband is ok with my shopping.. yes quality is more important..and satisfying kids is bit difficult..

I really don’t know why girls purchase that dress for longer hours. Maybe because there are many dress that are good in the eyes but doesn’t fit us. There are dress that fit us but we can’t afford the prize. So we look for it carefully. And woman must have to look good and beautiful everyday so we must choose the right dress. I purchase a dress, it will be long for 2 hours. Since I don’t have a boyfriend no one will worry.

Well, in my case, it really does not take me long to choose and buy something that I like. I think that is the nature of men. My wife however, do take time to choose and check every detail. Well, after she chooses, she fits the clothes and asks me whether its okay on her or not. So in such a case, I usually roam around the men's section and wait for her til she finds her choice.

I am a man and I choose my dress in seconds,to say.Of course,I don't go for ready made items.Just selecty clothes of my taste and stitch it with a tailor.i have strong pull towards blue and brown color shades and I always choose them quickly. And with my wife,i don't mind waiting for her but like to confuse her a little.

Hi srganesh getting clothes and stitching it from a tailor is a best way.. my husband does the same.. and for boys normally the colour shades very less so you guys dont have much options in choosing colours lol.. and also most of the time I too take dress materials and give them for stitching..

Well, it used to be that it took me a long time to find the clothing that I wanted to buy for myself. However, anymore, it is an in and out operation for me. The majority of the reason for this change is because of the fact that my children make it impossible to take my time while shopping. Now, to speak from my husband's point of view, even if I take five minutes to pick something out for myself then I am taking too much time.

It takes me ages to buy a dress. Firstly, it takes to time to select one after shortlisting a few. Then comes the trial episode. My mom doesn't bother about it though. She has her shopping to do and she is a woman as well!

Hi chaitra!^^
Oh gosh, I'm guilty of staying too long in a boutique when buying clothes!^^ I take hours when I'm shopping for clothes. I try on many clothes first before I decide which to buy. I just want to make sure that I get my money's worth so I make sure I choose the best one that best looks good on me.
I have never brought a boyfriend while I'm shopping though I have brought some guy friends with me. One of my guy friend always criticize me about how I take too long in buying a dress. I always told him he should understand the nature of girls. Girls like shopping and whenever there are clothes, and whenever there are sales, we'll be there. He's always impatient but he can't do anything about it so he's forced to wait.^^ But I have this guy friend who's very patient with me and he even indulge me so far as he gives me suggestions and comments about the clothes that I'm trying. Now, that's a good friend.^^

My husband tends to chose the clothes for me and I find it interesting when we go shopping because he likes to dress me up. We have fun shopping trying on different things as my hubbie likes to see how I look in them whether it be a dress, sweater, shirt or pants.

To tell you the truth, I will only take 10-15 minutes or even less to make up my mind about a dress. It is because I make up my mind before going for shoppping that what I want to buy and I ask straight away for the same. Even designs, size or color are in my mind, hence it doesn't take me much long to buy.
I think shopkeepers must be happy with me!

This is an interesting question. It depens on my mood and the varitiey of clothes in the shop I go. If I am stressed out, I like to see many clothes and buy one only if I can find one which I like very much. I burn my stress by shopping. The minimum time I take to purchase a cloth is 20 minutes. I will be carefuel about the time I take if I go for shopping with my husband. If I go alone, I may even shop for 1 hour and come out with nothing.

most females take forever in buying anything. i have a male mentality as had been proven with psychological tests i had when i was taking up my degree in psychology and this, purchasing tendency, of females really irritates me. it seems like it is there right at the store that they would decided what to purchase and what looks good on them. i can't understand that for there are experiences already that taught us what looks good on us. besides, don't we already should have a plan (most probably on what to do and of course what to buy) when we go to a store?

Hi Ritcelle.. good to know you dont take much time for shopping.. I agree with you.. for me I just keep in mind which colours I dont have in my closet and always tend to buy them when I find any good one on display instead of seeing a whole lot in the shop..

I do not take much time in the shop. Before I go to shop I plan what I should take and I spent very less time to select my dress. Firstly, my time is not wasted and Secondly the workers do not get tired because I take less time. Thirdly, other customer who are waiting is not getting delayed.

Hi chaitra001!
It depends. Sometimes, it would only take me few minutes. That is if, I really like the dress, have tried it on and got the money to purchase. Sometimes, it would take me some time before buying the dress. That is if, I can't make up my mind whether to buy the dress or not.

hi there chaitra, me I am not into dresses that much and I dont go to malls often.
When the need arises that I have to have new dress for an occasion or something new to wear. I spend hours just to select the dress I want to purchase.
I also make sure I bring my mom or a friend with me because I don't trust my choice. hehehehehehehe :)
But when someone ask me to go with her to the mall to buy dress i would honestly say to my friend that I find it so boring and I am sure I cant help.

hi chai...
i know what i want... so when i want something i go direction to the section where it is displayed. pick one that suits me, when i fit it and the size is for me, i'll go straight to the counter. that's how i go for shopping what i need.
i don't spend so much time choosing and then fitting and refitting, its such a waste of time for me.
i am a practical person, so i don't wastes precious time.
thanks.
God Bless!

When I go shopping for anything I take my time to make the best choice.I look at price and quality. If I'm buying any new clothes I will even take the extra time to try them on just to see how they look on me.Its important to be happy with what you have bought once you leave the store with it.
