Meet my new dog Rogue

Rogue (named after a character in X-men)is a border collie. My partner got her just over a week ago when he was in Northern Ireland. She had been taken into the dog pound as she had been found wandering the streets. Someone had thrown paint all over her so she had to have a short back and sides due to this. She still has slight traces of paint on her that they could not get off. I just can not understand why anyone would throw paint at a dog it seems so cruel. She is such a lovely dog. When we got her she was due to be put down that day as at the dog pound they only keep the dogs for 7 days by that time, if they haven't been re-homed or reunited with their owners, they are put to sleep. At least we saved one from being put down. How about you have you ever saved a dog or any animal from being put down?
