My friend loses her trust in confiding in me because of a misunderstanding that I gossiped her personal secret to one of our friends. Of course it's not true, we talked about it but i didn't go into details. I hadn't spill the beans. I tried to explain it to her, and she forgave me but I had the feeling that it would be hard to regain her trust back. What would I do so she could confide to me again?

If you did nothing wrong the best way for you to do is not to do anything at all. If you did not cause the rumor explaining yourself is doing enough. If your friend is really true to you she would realize that you are not on the wrong. Don't struggle to much trust takes time ^_^

I totally agree with you. I'm not guilty of anything, so why worry, right? I just hope she'll realize that I remained true to her, despite the misunderstanding. and yes, trust takes time to be rebuilt again, and I'll patiently wait for it :) Thanks for the wise words :)

Trust is something that needs to be earned, not overnight but it takes a lot of time, effort and confidence. When you consider someone as a friend, then speak of well of her and standby the things that she believes in, an ounce of loyalty is worth a pound of cleverness.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I really do appreciate it. I need to earn her trust back by continuing to be a good friend to her, I hope eventually she starts confiding in me again.

yeah, i did ask one of my friends to clear my name for me. If I did it myself over and over, It might look like I'm being defensive. less talk, less mistake. Thanks for your response.
