Tell me what you see, think and feel about our environment today. Weather disturbances, earthquakes, floods, tidal waves, hurricanes, blizzards, the "el nino" phenomenon, these are the signs of the times reminding us of man's irresponsible attitude and lack of concern of nature and the environment. What is happening now that has caused disasters and countless deaths in some parts of the globe has only man to blame for having forgotten his responsibility in the care his natural surroundings. I hate to be like a prophet of doom but if nothing is done to rectify and prevent further destruction of planet earth, this and future generations will suffer. To drive my point home, I invite my fellow myLot friends and members to my slide show on climate change by following this link: http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/352492/joepat html.

I believe in most of your theories in there maybe except the earthquakes. I do not think Earthquakes are not related to Global Warming and climate change. I think Earthquakes are part of nature and they cannot be stopped even if we have made this planet clean and green.
But I do agree with changing weather pattern and all of this things happening in our planet. With human's disregard to her mother nature we suffer in the end and probably could spell disaster against ourselves.

Thank you for your comment rsa101. You are absolutely right and I stand corrected. I was just carried away when I started the discussion as my mind was still focused on the devastation brought about by the recent earthquake in Haiti. I just wish that people will have the same mindset to start preserving mother nature and her bounty before irreparable damage may happen as telltale signs of the effects of destruction to our environment are already visible and tangible.
