How quickly do you get dressed after getting out of bed?

I used to get right out of bed and get dressed and hair put up. I hated this I really like to hang out and not get dressed till 9-10am. We get up sometimes pretty early like 3-4 in the morning but sit around in our night clothes till we have to get dressed and ready for the day. Which is nice on those days we plan to stay in all day. So when do you get dress after getting out of the bed? Do you jump in the shower and then get dressed right away? Or do yo lounge around in your night clothes till you have to get dressed?

I like to lounge around now that I have a job where I work from home. I still have to get the kids off to school so I usually throw some sweats and a shirt on and when I get back home, I put my hair back up, slippers on get out my laptop and sit in front of the TV until its time to go pick up the kids. I love it!!

Have you ever considered going back to school? Since I am a single mom of two kids its more convenient for me to go to school online. I have already received one degree online and plan on going back to school this fall to further my education.

Hi, free_man. I usually will just lounge around until I get dressed. And then I will take a shower. Because when I first get up, I will eat and then feed my kids. During the weekdays, my son has to go to school so I have to be up with him at 6 in the mornings.

Im very lazy in the morning. First thing I do is make my coffee, then breakfast, then shower, then I might watch the news, weather and then I'll get dressed. But since I work at home now, I dont have to get dressed, can sit in front of the pc in my pj's all day long :) I like it a lot and hate when I have to go out. But its usually after my work, so I put on my jeans, sweater and off I go.

Getting up from bed is totally different from getting ready!! We will get ready only if we want to go out. So after getting up from bed there are some important work that needs to be done with the night clothes :-). Once I took bath, I will take 30 mts to get ready. This include combing, deodorant, dressing and shoes. But as soon as I got out of bed I would like to wander with night clothes, I don't know for what but still love doing that.

Yeah that rite. Nobody like to get jump up from the bed dressed up rite away. But there are some situations like that which makes us to do so :-). If you got up late on a weekday then definitely you need to jump out the bed and get dressed up immediately to avoid the scoldings from your manager LOL :-)

hi free_man! I also want to be free like a bird :) I get dresses very quickly after I get up, maybe for 1 minute or less, because I am not vain person, so I don't care about my look, I only care about my hair, it is the most important to me :) I just get dressed up and go to the bath. I first dressed up and then go to brush my teeth and like many others, who first brush it and then get dressed :)

Hi Phoenix. I like sitting around in my night clothes I don't like to get dressed right after I get up. I had done that for years and never had a moment to just spend time doing nothing real important. When we are sitting in front of the computer watching the Preacher we watch I usually braid my hair for the day and then get dressed as soon as the preacher is over.

It really depends... If its a work day or when I don't have anywhere important to go to then when I wake up I immediately shower and get dressed in about twenty minutes or less (if I'm late ). However, if its a weekend/restday and I have nothing important to do, then I tend to get lazy. I lounge around the house in my sleepwear for house and only take a shower if I feel like it .

Hi Joy. I love to take my time when I don't have anywhere to go or anything special I need to do. So on those days I only dress if we are going to have company. I don't put on make up at all when I am going to be at home all day. Unless I feel my husband needs to see me looking better then just plain lazy me. Then I will dress early and put my face on and even prefume. The whole 9 works. If you know what I mean.

It is so hard for me to wake up in the morning, so it would take me quite a while to get up and get dressed. And then of course I would need to shower and all if I have not done so the night before. It takes me about a good thirty to forty five minutes to get up and get dressed and then it also depends on what time of the day that I am getting up and what is planned for that day.

Hi Trisha. That isn't a lot of time to get ready to get out the door. I can get ready pretty quickly. But on those days we aren't going anywhere and we don't have company coming over I don't get dressed till I just have to. When it is cold with snow on the ground like today I put on my long johns and then sweat pants of course my shoes but t shirt long john shirt and sweat shirt if I have to go outside. Want to stay warm when outside.

I am the kind of person who loves to put my alarm clock on snooze several times before I want to get up from bed. Therefore, when it's really time for me to get up and prepare for work, I usually have only about half an hour's time. That leaves me with no choice but to get changed as quickly as I can.

Hi Myzire. I have never ever used an alarm clock in my entire life. I wake early and have always been one up and ready before everyone else. Well there is a reason for that you had to learn to stay ahead of one or another of my brothers and sisters if you wanted to get in the bathroom. You had to get up early to beat the rest of the family in there or it took all day to get all of us ready to go anywhere. Well not all day but too long to keep mom happy.....LOL She wasn't a happy sort of person anyway. So if you wanted to stay on her good side you was ready and out the door before the last person.

Hi Pradeep and welcome to my lot. I only get dressed right away if I have to or it is the warmer months of the year cause then I want to get dress and out the door. ASAP and I am always in a hurry during the summer months. Always got some place to go. But during the winter months I don't want to be anywhere but at home relaxing doing what needs to be done but still have time to just play.

Hi Wishluck and welcome to my lot. I like sitting around in my pj's when it is winter time but when the warmer weather comes around I will be dressed as soon as my feet hit the floor. I like getting out early in the morning to get the grass mowed or the flower beds weeded. Get the yard work done and the house work done and the afternoon is ours to play at the swimming hole.... Yeeeeee Haaaaaaaaa!

Ohhhh I am a lazy, lazy one about this subject!! I like to sit on my computer, drink my coffee answer a few posts and then I will get a shower and dress.
This can take as little as an hour or sometimes I don't get showered and dressed until 10 or 11am.
Working from home has spoiled me. I had to go out yesterday to an appointment and realized that I have a very limited wardrobe. I have plenty of sweats and t shirts but nothing really acceptable in public. LOL
I will need to go shopping soon enough, but first I need a bit more coffee and maybe I will post a few more things! LOL

Hi Sumanadep. I do love to have a shower before I go to work that way I smell all fresh and it wakes me up really fast to shower early in the morning. But I would rather take a shower late in the evening so I don't have to early in the morning especially when it is cold outsied. Burrrrrrrrrrrr.......LOL

Hi Ebuscat. I can be dressed and ready but it takes me at least 30 minutes. I have long hair so I french braid it everyday so I look decent. That takes about 15 minutes but the rest I can have done in less then 15 minutes if I don't have to do a lot of cleaning up. I wash my face and brush my teeth and that don't take long. But if I have to take a shower it will be at least 45 minutes to get everything done on time.....LOL

I usually try to wake myself up an hour before the time to go out. I like waking up slowly, stretching my legs, etc. I'd love to go to the bathroom to take an early shower and then I can start getting dressed. So, I think I need about 30 minutes after I wake up to get dressed to get out to work.

For me, it depends on the day. From monday to friday, because i have to go to work. I usually get dressed very quickly, because i always get up late from my lovely bed. Maybe it will take 15-30 minutes. But on the week end, sometimes, I only use my night clothes all day, from the time i wake up, until i sleep again. Because on the week end, i'm very lazy to take shower.

Hi Luvlymee and welcome to my lot. It is always nice when we can have those weekends to just kick back and relaxe. I know what you mean about Mon thur Fri. I used to have those kinds of hours. But since we work for ourselves we work when we get a chance to work. We don't have a thriving business yet but when someone calls we don't turn it down. I am lucky though t shirt and jeans for me when we do work.....LOL it sure is sweet.

I don't really need to take much time to get dressed. Usually I slept with T-Shirt and pants so when I wake up, I just need to brush my teeth and wash my face and I'm ready to go out. Somehow, my hair also stands out neatly after sleeping so don't really need to comb as well.

Hi Minotaur and welcome to my lot. I don't think I could sleep in a T shirt and pants. I would be too warm. So I sleep in my night gown and that is enough for me. I wish my hair would stay in place while I slept but have to brush it every morning I don't want my husband to think ill of me when I look a mess.....LOL
