What a game! The Saints held back a little in the first half but in the second, they took the lead and took the game. People here have been partying all night and morning and it is not likely to stop anytime soon!
I was starting to think I was never going to see it. I went out early to get the newspaper just ot be sure it didn't disappear. When they won the NFC champsionship people were buying them up and there was such a demand that the TP printed more copies. I didn't save that one but I just may have to get this one framed!
What a game!

You are totally hilarious. Drew Brees visits our school from time to time and was one of the people instrumental in our getting the new teaching kitchen so you never know...

LOL, I don't know when I will ever get near any of the players. We don't hang out in the same places.

I didn't think they would win, but I was hoping they would. I am kind of sick of hearing about how it somehow relates to hurricane Katrina.... But i'll bet the French Quarter is ridiculous right now.

Unforntunately Katrina will be coming up for a very long time. Growing up I heard about Camille and Betsy and the only thing that stopped that was Katrina. The roadwork is driving me crazy at present.

The Saints and New Orleans are intertwined. You can't talk about one without mentioning the other, and that means talking about Katrina along with it because that was a major event, obviously. You won't be able to separate any of these from the other for a LONG time.

talk about an upset!
it has taken me this long just to be able to respond here
I am a Colts fan
the superbowl loss hit all of us pretty hard
not sure what happened to the team in the second half but they just weren't on their game
very disappointing!
BUT the Saints played good and they deserve the win

It was a great game! I can't believe that the saints even took the gamble of an onside kick at the start of the third quarter. After being down 10-zip in the half. I'm glad that their gamble paid off because that really change the momentum of the game.
I'm also glad that it was a great game. Unlike superbowls of the past that didn't live up to the hype. Too bad for Peyton. But still, the deserving team won.

When the first half ended I just had to believe they were holding back so they could give it their all in the second. I can't believe he won that challenge! That is a little known rule that almost no one knows about. He is really impressive as a coach and the game has gone more from butish brawn to strategy of late; have you noticed?

Congratulations to the Saints on winning their first Superbowl Title and bringing back happiness to a city that has gone through so much after Hurricane Katrina. The city deserves a champion and happiness. I was definitely cheering for the Saints. It was a very good game. Both teams played well. Wish the game did not go by so quickly but am happy for New Orleans. I just hope that my favorite team will win a Superbowl.

My friend and I just finished watching the game at 5 am this morning. We both work at a pizza place and we DVRed the game. We actually put a sign up on the door saying that we didn't want to know anything at all about the game and we were able to make it home and watch the game without knowing what happened. The only problem was I couldn't get on the internet until the game was over because it was all over the net. I agree though, it was a good game. It was definately worth staying up until 5 in the morning to watch. I can't believe how many Super Bowl records were broken.

The record breaking was definitely another awesome factor in the whole thing. I didn't expect much when Brees came to town and we found out about the bum shoulder. I guess sports medicine has come a long way.

Next Tuesday go online and look at a few mardi gras web cams and I am sure you will see a lot of Saints themed costumes! You should have seen the crowd for the parade today!

i really didn't care who won i just wanted to see a good game and boy did i get my wish i mean new orleans pulled out all the stops to win this game they took every risk in the book to get it into their advantage, but to their credit it payed off. i just love to see a game that comes down to the last possession and i told my dad that Peyton Manning was overdo to mess up, because he had been so good in those situations all year. it is really hard to put your team in the situation where you have to come from behind all the time and eventually it will come back and bit you and unfortunately for him it was at the super bowl, but i'm sure new orleans is glad that it happened there.
congratulations to the saints i'm sure it is party time down there and they broke the first time to the super bowl and losing run that had been going on.
you can't feel better for a city then for this one and at least it was the two best teams from the whole season playing and they gave everyone a great game.

Peyton Manning's problem is that he is overly confident. Everyone underestimated the Saints and Sean Payton. He knows the game inside and out and he had a plan when he first came to town.

It was a fantastic Superbowl and although I don't support either team it was still good to watch and well done to Drew Brees who deserved his MVP award. New Orleans Saint's have a very good team now and can be up there in the Superbowl again. I'm sure Peyton Manning and the Colts will have something to say about who wins the next few Superbowls too.

Well, I was rooting for the Colts but was somewhat happy to see the Saints win. It was sweet to see a good coach like Shawn Peyton win. It was also nice to see Drew win a championship after being outed of San Diego when Phillip Rivers was drafted. Finally, it was nice to see the Saints, a franchise that has been bad for most of their existence, win a World Championship. It gives me hope as a Detroit Lions fan!

Good luck with that, lol! I don't know if the Lions will get there but based on the last 40 plus years I'll say anything can happen.
