Do you read a book while you're eating?

I can't do two things in the same moment. Because when i do a thing i should focus in that thing. Eating and reading in the same thing, hmmm.. I don't like that. I ever try that, and then, i lost my appetite. And when i read while im eating, i can't understand what i am reading. But eating and watching tv, i can do that. Because i dont need to concentrate my mind on tv, only concentrate with my food.

Hi,my friend! I Think you should be very fond of reading !! Well, I do not read when I'm eating,but I choose to watch TVs.I eat slowly too,and most of the time I eat alone,it is quite boring!But I think reading at meal would be uncomfortable,I can't concentrate on the books! In fact,we should correct such bad habits,it is an unhealthy lifestyle,what do you think?

No I watch tv actually and it is pretty fun lol. I like to read though it is awesome.

I rarely read books, so I prefer to read a newspaper when having meal. Although sometimes I get myself in a situation when I am too excited with reading a newspaper, so I don't even notice the taste of food. I try not to get too involved into reading the paper.

I'm glad to hear you say that. I do the same thing. My family thinks I'm weird. Obviously not, as there is at least one more person who reads while eating.

Hi sushie93, For me I think I eat first before I read some interesting stories. Mostly I talk while eating. Some good things to hear or talk. how nice....

I must admit that alot of times especially in the afternoon when I am having lunch, I usually read a book that I am really getting into while I eat. It just sort of became a mid-day ritual.

Hi, sushie93. I do snack on light candy or chewy snacks. I don't eat any heavy meals because I don't want to leave any smudge marks on my book pages, while I am reading my book.

I do that a lot! but different like you, I love to eat something when I was reading. Seems I just like to keep my hand and mouth bothe busy. When I just reaning book, I just feel I should find something to eat like snack or cookie or fruit. But when I was eating meal like lunch or dinner I just like to watching Tv or check website, seems I never read o book when I was eating meals, maybe happen sometimes when I was in highschool.

I am so very glad that I am not the only person who does this. I thought I was a strange one but I do read a book when I am eating. It just does not feel right for some reason. I actually take this a bit further as well. I read different types of books based on different types of foods that I eat. It just is a habit that I got to. Do not really know where it started. It is just something that happened and I have found no reason to change it.

no, i cant pay atention both activities.. perhaps listen music, but not read.. then, of course..

yes, i used to read in the internet while eating. my mom used to blame me while eating. but it had become my one of the habit of me.but now i can't able to control it...

Hi! No, I don't read a book while I am eating because I don't think it is very comfortable :) Well, I also haven't thought of it before, but I don't do anything else while i am eating :)

When I was in school I would often do that to cram my lessons. When there was no more time to review and all I had was breaktime, I would bring my textbooks with me and study while eating. But in an ordinary day, I don't do that. I love eating, and contrary to you, I eat quickly.
