Saving money clipping coupons.

I have recently started clipping coupons for my grocery shopping. I never realized just how much it could save me. Today I went to the grocery store, my order came up to over $40 but after coupons and store savings I only had to pay $17. I have decided that I will try not to purchase anything unless its on sale and/or I have a coupon for it. How many of you all save a lot of money using coupons and what was the most you saved in a single visit?

Hi Tess I have always used coupons guess its a family thing from my mom and then having 5 children LOL But the only problem I have noticed is I would rather go buy the sunday paper and get my coupons out of there or magazines etc than go online to the coupon places unless its a good coupon I did it for awhile not thinking how much it cost for printer ink yea I was saving money on the grocery end but then I was going and having to refill ink I wish they would make em all black and white it would help We used to have a lazer jet printer but it finally blew so now back to those little bottle ink things and at 40.00 for color and black whew So we also have to make sure we ARE saving money on both ends I have gotten to get refill cartridges from Walgreens But one of the color after I got home it showed only half full So I learn something new every day and I am almost 58 LOL Good Luck clipping coupons we all have to save pennies where we can Marie

Coupons really make our lives easier and we could save more from it. I've read a book on how to be able to save more, and the author mentioned about the benefits of using coupons. My sister told me that she purchased something in our local supermarket and she has to pay Php 200.00 in total. She remembered that she had a coupon in her wallets, so she used it. Instead of paying Php200.00, she only paid Php180.00. Well, it's not much but it's really helpful..
