campaign for elections officially starts today february 9, 2010. if you are a voter, does campaign materials like posters, banners affects your decision on whom to vote for this coming may? or you stick to your own opinion and how you see the totality of the person? or you vote for that person because he/she gives you money in return?

posters are a good way to remind ourselves that this particular candidate is running. It's actually a good way to turn me off if i see their pictures in areas where they are not suppose to post it. If they can't follow to post their posters at the right places then i'm sure they can't fulfill their promises.

yes there are some campaigners who are great violators and posted anywhere and not to the proper and designated places for campaigns. i think it's not the fault of the candidate but to the person entrusted to do it for them. i hope that all candidates warned their campaigners to follow the instructions from the comelec to achieve a clean, fair and honest election.

Banners and posters do affect my vote. The more a candidate post their banners and posters on walls, the less likely I'll vote for him/her. Election time means more mess on walls and those candidates who won never bothered to get their crap cleaned up. It's the same banana every election period and I'm already sick and tired of it.

I find it to destroy an image of clean walls and sometimes that posters stay even after elections which kind of an eye sore. I hope that candidate use other methods than posting posters just about anywhere. As far as I know Comelec has some ruling that they are not allowed to put this anywhere but they just could not stop them from doing so. Well I am not influenced by this posters at all. I got all kinds of souvenirs coming from them too. From hats, leaflets and all sorts of things that they can imagine but I will vote for who I think is deserving my vote not by these paraphernalia's.

you are definitely correct, campaign posters, signages, banners and a lot more are not the mere evidence of how they will performed. we've been a victims of promises and see what happened to us? to our country? i hope the people already learned the past and look forward to new and sincere candidate not just he is a well known person but what kind of person he is.

The most effective campaign to get my vote is doing well in presidential forums and debates. I saw how Gordon is good in answering questions and how I agree so much with his platform, thus he got my vote. Posters and Banners get me to notice the candidate but in the end my vote goes to a candidate's words, actions and track record. I guess posters and banners only help for name recall but for responsible voters, it won't matter that much because they will look for good reasons to vote someone for a position.

you are correct banners and posters can help voters to recall their names but for those who are not aware of the true background of the person especially in provinces wherein they are dependent on the banners and posters without minding who the person is.

Posters, banners, etc do affect my choice of candidates to be voted upon. In the sense that without the campaign materials, there will be no telling whom to vote. Usually candidates are publicly known only when they post campaign materials. But for me all election materials- posters, streamers, radio and TV, etc. do not affect my choice of candidates I'll write in the ballot. Campaign materials do not represent the true sentiments for whom they represent; they're all lies and half-truths; the more materials there are the more lies therein. Who can accomplish all the promises pledged in by a certain candidate? I prefer a candidate with a one or 2 platforms that are fully accomplished within his term. Good record and character are my basis for a candidate to earn my vote. Nowadays. it's hard to look for honest public-servants to be.

yes we should not be carried away by the platforms, promises that they are telling to us ever since but never did even one of those. i think the people should be wise enough to judge who is the candidate worthy for the position. let us pray for each other and hope for a successful elections this coming May 2010.

posters on walls during campaign are eyesores. even banners are getting crowded on some places and starts to look like trash. I think they should resort to other methods and better yet spend their money on something else that are more helpful to the masses without expecting in return.

yes they are really an eyesores to the surroundings and it creates trash to our environment. i hope our government can create a new ways for campaign that are environmental friendly that after the election still our streets will look tidy. they should limit their methods of posting campaign posters not just paste it anywhere around the corner.
