I've been dating a guy for the past 5 months and I want him to meet my son.
Is 5 months too soon? Should I wait longer? Or is now a good time for my boyfriend and son to meet?

You could always introduce him as a friend right now until you are sure that it is going to work in the future. But how ever you want to introduce them I would do it to see how he gets along with your son and your son gets along with him. It will be a lot easier with them getting to know each other now and hopefully down the road your boyfriend will still be there for you and your son.

I am just glad that you did not rush into everything like a friend of mine did. She introduced her 8 year old son to her boyfriend within weeks of meeting and then a couple months done the road he was gone and he was left to wonder why he was the cause of her boyfriend leaving.

Yea that has got to suck! I dont want that kind of environment for my son.
I want him to see stability and a healthy relationship

Yeah I think five months is plenty of time, and I think it is OK for him to meet your son now. Honestly, I am surprised you haven't done it already, especially since he knew about your son from the start.

Thanks Golden, I waited for a while because I dont want men running in and out of my sons life and I wanted to make sure that this guy was good for me before anything else, because if hes good in my eyes then i know he will be good for my son.

I would introduce him as a friend at first. This way there is no real pressure.

lol I havent even thought about marriage! But this guy im seeing right now is a really great guy. And I do believe that me and him are on the same page about everything. Thanks Lucky!!

Yes he knew I had a son from the get go.
I just dont want to rush anything and regret it later...you know what i mean?
