Hi mylotters, Last Christmas I received from my brother a North Face back pack and it is really what I wanted. And for me it is the most expensive gift I received. I know that this is not as expensive as others received. So for you mylotters what's the most expensive gift you've ever received from someone? Anyway it doesn't matter if the gift that you received is expensive or not but what is important that someone remembers you. Thank them even it is a small thing.

Well at christmas my husband got me this netbook as i was saying it would be nice if i had my own pc as well as if i got a netbook we would all be able to go on the internet and would not have to wait ages for our turn. The year before he got me a ipod touch and that was an expensive gift as well.Where as all the other gifts that he has got me over the years have not been as expensive as well as i never used all the others.

The most expensive gift that I ever received was from my parents. When I was in my early twenties they helped me pay for a language course in Italy. It was pretty expensive, I was a student at that time and I wouldn't have been able to pay for the language course on my own. I was really grateful for the gift from my parents, because I learned a lot and I had a great time in Italy. Actually it became one of the the best periods of my life, and I will always remember the time that I spent there and the friends that I found.

hello, healthbeauty! i enjoy giving gifts more than receiving them. but the first thing that came to mind after reading your question is the diamond ring which my brother had given me the last time i went back to my homecountry last year. i was very surprised because i've never thought that someone could give me that. sure i wear it as a reminder of my brother's love. others might think it's an engagement ring but it's not. LOL! i believe that the market value of gifts isn't everything but it is still the heart that gives. many more gifts to come!

The most expensive gift I have ever received from someone was the ten thousand pesos cash given to me by my cousin who went abroad. She sent me the money as a gift and as her contribution to my studies. She knew how hard it was to be in my situation when I was still a student. We were having a lot of financial problems in the past so she lent me her helping hand. It was a big amount of money for me and it was given to me by someone so I considered it as a gift.

It's cool your brother knows you well enough to be able to buy something like you really enjoy. The most expensive gift I have ever gotten was a sterling silver bracelet that a family friend got me for Christmas. It was beautiful with roses engravings. I still have it today and every so often I take it out just to look at it because it's so pretty.

4 yrs ago my husband gave me a Cartier watch for my birthday. I was so surprised cause I'm not the type of woman who wears expensive stuff but I could not say no to it either cause I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Last christmas he gave me a black leather jacket. I just wish he stops giving me expensive gifts cause it gives me pressure on what to give him in return...cause i'm cheap. lol

That is great. I have lot of gifts from friends and family. I also got money from them. The most expensive gift I got was a gold chain from my husband. I also got dresses from my aunts, gold earrings from my cousin, earrings from my husbadn, etc. It is great that you got a backpack form your brother. I am also in need of a backpack. I don't think anybody will get that for me. I am planning to get it this weekend. I share your happiness and I know that it is very valuable if you get a present you really need.

But if we will speak without the price amounting of...i can say the most expensive gift i ever receive in life were my kids. They were the most priceless gift ever. It is nice to know that you appreciate every simple gifts you've ever receive. It only means that, you never measure happiness from it's price. You had a good heart for this

I received a very expensive gift. So expensive I wouldn't be able to pay it back even though I worked day and night all my life. It's my parents love and care. During my secondary school, I attended a program. One of the program's activities is to calculate how many my parents have spent since I was born until that particular age. I called my mother and she gave me a rough estimation on how many were spent for me. After those rough estimation, I calculated about RM100,000 (around +- USD 30,000). I almost cried when I saw the result. Up until now, my parents still support me financially, and although I often argue with them, I would never try to tarnish their good name. This is the most expensive gift I've ever received.

I don't know if the gift I received is expensive or not since some of them are gift wrapped. For me it doesn't matter if the gift is expensive or not, the thought counts. The feeling that they remember me and the time and effort they made for looking for gifts and wrapped it and give it to me is what matter most. Its hard to think of a gift for someone, it is hard to make someone truly happy. So it doesn't matter the prize, a gift I received is all special.
