What do you think of Google's threaten to leave china?

Some days ago,I decided to buy a phone.What atract me is the HTC G1,an android mobile phone.The opensource OS and google's service is a great temptation to me.But I heard that google threatened to leave china for the cencorship.What do you think of this?Will google really do so?
