There is a slight difference between highest rated and best discussion of the day.

Yes I expect mylot to do it. To remain in the no.1 position you have to keep on improvising. Keeping extra admin or admins is not that big a deal for mylot. If you are big enough then you are good enough and if you are good enough then you are big enough.

Meapas, I am not sure that you realize what you are asking. First, if myLot did hire extra Admins to read every single discussion that gets posted every day, then that would be very expensive. They would have to get the money from someplace, so obviously they would not have as much money to share with us users. That would mean that the amount that we get for posting would decrease, which I am sure everybody would agree would not be a good thing. Even if the person that got awarded the honor of "best discussion of the day" got a few extra cents for the honor, it would still not make up for what all the other users would be losing each day. Second, even if there were enough Admins to read every single discussion, how would they choose which one was best, especially with different people reading the discussions? People's opinions vary, and what one person might deem the best might not be what another one would choose as the best. The only "fair and equal" way to determine it, if they were to try to implement your suggestion, would be for one person to read them all. That way, the same standard would be applied to every single discussion. However, there is no way that one person could read through all those discussions in one day. Third, I believe that the changes that myLot will be making to the site will be "improvising" and improving it. They asked for our suggestions and input not only on the problems that we are currently experiencing with the site but also on ways that we think that it could be improved in the future. GoAskAlice has now announced that soon those improvements and new features will become available on myLot, so they are definitely moving forward and working to stay an active and productive presence on the Internet.

Hi Alice, I know you must have had a tough time answering so many people. :) But you are doing a splendid job. :) May I request one more thing? I do have a problem in giving tags. :( The tag line comes in the next screen where the entire content is not visible. While I do remember my opinion, the exact words that would be right tags elude me. Therefore, if it is possible, can we have tag line appearing right under the discussion box if possible. May be that would improve the quality of tags as well as my responses.

vandana7, I know what you mean about forgetting what you've said by the time you reach the next screen. Did you know that you can skip the tagging and then go back and tag after you've posted? The tag box is located directly above where the first response is displayed. Have you tried that?
